Drevsjø is a village in Engerdal municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located about north of the village of Engerdal and about southeast of the village of Sorken. The village takes its name from the lake Drevsjø which lies near the village. The Drevsjø Church is located in the village. The village has some commercial businesses serving the municipality such as grocery stores plus a large sawmill. Drevsjø is well known for its natural environment and its fishing opportunities. It is only 60 minutes from one of Scandinavia's biggest alpine centres, Trysilfjellet. Engerdal Church
Engerdal Church ( no, Engerdal kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Engerdal Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the village of Engerdal. It is the church for the Engerdal parish which is part of the Sør-Østerdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Hamar. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1873 using by an unknown architect. The church seats about 250 people. History The first church in Engerdal was built in 1871–1873. Johan Olsen from Elverum and Teodor Embretsen Nordvi from Trysil were responsible for the carpentry work. The new church was a timber-framed long church. The altarpiece was painted by teacher Peder Haugen from Haugen in Engerdal. The church building was consecrated in 1873. Østerdalen
Østerdalen () is a valley and traditional district in Innlandet county, in Eastern Norway. This area typically is described as the large Glåma river valley as well as all its tributary valleys. It includes the municipalities Rendalen, Alvdal, Folldal, Tynset, Tolga and Os in the north, Elverum, Stor-Elvdal, Engerdal, Trysil and Åmot in the south. It historically included Särna and Idre, which is now in Sweden. Geography Østerdalen is quite wide in most places. Østerdalen is characterized by tranquil landscapes and rounded mountains.
