Enga Laima
Enga Laima FC is a semi-professional association football club based in Wabag in the Enga Province of Papua New Guinea. The club was founded in 2019. The club's competitive debut was in the 2019 edition of the Papua New Guinea National Soccer League, where they finished 5th out of six teams in the Highlands Conference. History In early January 2019, it was reported that a club called Laima FC, supported by Enga Governor Sir Peter Ipatas, had entered into the 2019 edition of the Papua New Guinea National Soccer League. By the start of the season, the name had been adjusted to Enga Laima FC. In their opening match, the club lost 5–0 to Aporo Mai, before an 11–1 defeat at the hands of Kagua-Erave. Papua New Guinea National Soccer League
The KPHL National Soccer League, also known as the Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited National Soccer League for sponsorship reasons, is the men's top division of professional soccer in Papua New Guinea. It is a nationwide league formed in 2006 by Papua New Guinea Football Association. It replaced the Papua New Guinea National Club Championship as the country's major soccer competition. In its 13 seasons, the competition has been won by only two clubs: Hekari United won the first eight editions, while Lae City have won the last six. 2019 Papua New Guinea National Soccer League
The 2019 Papua New Guinea National Soccer League, known for sponsorship reasons as the Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited National Soccer League, was the 13th edition of Papua New Guinea National Soccer League, the top-tier football league in Papua New Guinea. It started on 26 January 2019. Toti City F.C. were the defending champions. The title was won by Toti City, who picked up their fifth title after defeating eight-time champions Hekari United in the final on penalties. Format A brand new format for the competition was announced on 19 November 2018, with the league being split into the four regions of the country: Northern ( Momase), Southern ( Papua), Highlands and Islands. Wabag
Wabag is the capital of Enga Province, Papua New Guinea. It is the least populous provincial capital in the country. The Right Honourable Grand Chief Sir Peter Ipatas, KBE, GCL, MP (born 31 July 1958) is a Papua New Guinean politician and businessman, and is the current governor of Enga province. Ipatas has been re-elected to the parliament for four consecutive terms since 1997. He is commonly known throughout the country as the "Action Governor". Blue Kumuls (Mount Hagen)
Blue Kumuls is a semi-professional association football club based in Mount Hagen, Papua New Guinea. The club was founded sometime before 1980's. The club has taken part in three editions of the Papua New Guinea National Club Championship with their best finish coming in 2005 when they finished fourth. They also finished as runners-up in the Highlands Regional League on two occasions. The club is currently under the leadership of Elias Wapsiat and is taking part in the 2019 edition of the Papua New Guinea National Soccer League, and are through to the playoffs after having finished second in the Highlands Conference. In 2021/2022 season, Blue Kumuls Football Club merged with Aporo Mai of Kutubu form Ape Aporo FC and we finished first in the highlands conference undefeated.
