Enforcer is the name of two fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Publication history The first Enforcer first appeared in ''Ghost Rider'' #22-24 (February–June 1977), and was created by Gerry Conway, Don Glut, and Don Heck. The character subsequently appeared in ''Spider-Woman'' #19 (October 1979), #27-29 (June–August 1980), ''Ghost Rider'' #58 (July 1981), and ''Spider-Woman'' #50 (June 1983). He was killed by the Scourge of the Underworld in ''Iron Man'' #194 (May 1985). The Enforcer received an entry in the '' Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Deluxe Edition'' #17. The Enforcers are a team of supervillains appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, usually as adversaries of the superheroes Spider-Man and Daredevil. The original Enforcers consisted of Montana (Jackson Brice), the Ox (Raymond Bloch), and Fancy Dan (Daniel Brito). Publication history Created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist and co-plotter Steve Ditko, the team's first appearance was in ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' #10 (March 1964). ''The Enforcer'' is a 1976 American neo-noir vigilante action thriller film and the third in the ''Dirty Harry'' film series. Directed by James Fargo, it stars Clint Eastwood as Inspector "Dirty" Harry Callahan, Tyne Daly as Inspector Kate Moore, and DeVeren Bookwalter as criminal mastermind Bobby Maxwell. It was also the last film in the series to feature John Mitchum as Inspector Frank DiGiorgio. The Piper PA-48 Enforcer is an American turboprop-powered light close air support aircraft built by Piper Aircraft, Piper in the 1970s. It is a development of the World War II-era North American P-51 Mustang fighter. The Enforcer concept was originally created and flown as the Cavalier Mustang by David Lindsay, owner of Cavalier Aircraft, in response to the United States Air Force PAVE, PAVE COIN program, but Cavalier did not have the manufacturing abilities to mass-produce the Enforcer, so the program was sold to Piper by Lindsay in 1970. The Chicago Enforcers were a short-lived American football team based at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois. This team was part of the failed XFL begun by Vince McMahon of WWE World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc., d/b/a as WWE, is an American professional wrestling promotion. NBC dropped the XFL after the first season in 2001 due to dismal ratings, and the dissolution of the league was announced shortly afterwards. Enforcer is a Sweden, Swedish Heavy metal music, heavy metal band formed in 2004 in Arvika. Enforcer plays and performs in a style very similar to older speed metal bands like Venom (band), Venom and Anvil (band), Anvil. When ''Sweden Rock Magazine'' asked them about playing "old school", they answered that heavy metal is not old school, it is timeless. The Enforcer is a ship design created by Royal Schelde (now Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding) following the design and building of HNLMS ''Rotterdam''. HNLMS ''Rotterdam'' was jointly developed by the Royal Netherlands Navy and the Spanish Navy. Development began in the 1980s, when the Royal Netherlands Navy began investigating ways to provide an amphibious transport capability. In 1994, preliminary design work began. The Spanish government proposed in 1990 to collaborate on the design. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in June 1992. The Enforcers were a professional wrestling tag team consisting of Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko who worked for World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1991 and 1992. Together they held the WCW World Tag Team Championship and were voted the Pro Wrestling Illustrated Tag Team of the Year in 1991. History The Enforcers (named for Anderson's ''nom du guerre'' in The Four Horsemen) were formed when Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko started teaming in the summer of 1991 in WCW. Scott Steiner was injured in June and the WCW World Tag Team Championship had become vacant because the Steiner Brothers (Scott and Rick Steiner) were not able to defend the title within the 30-day window.
