Energy (event)
Energy was a techno-music event (see rave) taking place after the Street Parade in Zürich, Switzerland. It is considered the largest indoor event of its nature in the country. In 2010, around 14,000 people attended. History Hosted by Music journalist Arnold Meyer, Event Mastermind Gregory Fauchart aka DJ T-Bass , Fifa event organiser Hans-Jürg Rufener and record label owner Thomas Bischofberger, Energy began as a party after the first Street Parade in 1992 in what was an industrial warehouse. Originally, Energy attracted more visitors than the Street Parade itself until 1994, when the parade sharply gained popularity due to the nation- and world-wide word-of-mouth of the Energy after-party. Hallenstadion in Zürich replaced the warehouse as the Energy venue from 1993-2003. Trance Energy
Energy (formerly known as Trance Energy) was a Dutch trance event featuring trance music DJs from around the world. It was organized by ID&T and was held since 1999 in various venues in the Netherlands. History The event was founded in 1999. Traditionally, there was a "small" edition and a big edition each year. In 2002, the small edition failed to sell out its 20,000-person ticket capacity (only 15,000 tickets were sold) and thereafter, Trance Energy was only held once annually, at the Jaarbeurs convention center in Utrecht, where it has been sold out each year up to 2009. The festival gained "cult" status among trance fans. In 2010, it failed to sell out by slight margins since it was organized on Easter week end and this was problematic for some foreign visitors (especially from Poland). Tatana Sterba (born October 7, 1976 in Uherské Hradiště, Czechoslovakia (now in the Czech Republic) as ''Taťána Štěrbová'' (), in 1980 the family emigrated to Switzerland) is a dance and trance producer better known under her alias Tatana. Tatana is one of the most successful artists of the 2000s in the Swiss charts, with several successful trance albums since her debut album ''24 Carat'' was released in February 2000. Tatana's Swiss chart debut came in May 1999, with the release of the single "End Of Time", a collaboration with DJ Energy.
