Energy (Taiwanese Band)
Energy was a Taiwanese boy band formed in 2002. The original band consisted of five members, Milk, Ady, Toro, Penny and Joe. Toro and Milk left the band in 2003 and 2005 respectively. Xiao Gang joined the band in mid-2007. The band disbanded in 2009. History Early years Five-member Energy debuted with a Rapcore sound uncommon to the Taiwanese Mandopop scene. The band's up-tempo tracks such as "Let Go" () were accompanied by dance choreography comparable to that of Korean boy bands. Energy also performed ballads such as "Love Me for Another Day" () and "One Day" (). The band's popularity grew at a time where several other highly successful Taiwanese boy bands such as 5566 and K One emerged. Energy's first studio album ''Energy! Mandopop
Mandopop or Mandapop refers to Standard Chinese, Mandarin popular music. The genre has its origin in the jazz-influenced popular music of 1930s Shanghai known as Shidaiqu; with later influences coming from Japanese enka, Hong Kong's Cantopop, Taiwan's Hokkien pop, and in particular the School campus song, Campus Song folk movement of the 1970s. 'Mandopop' may be used as a general term to describe popular songs performed in Mandarin. Though Mandopop predates Cantopop, the English term was coined around 1980 after "Cantopop" became a popular term for describing popular songs in Cantonese. "Mandopop" was used to describe Mandarin-language popular songs of that time, some of which were versions of Cantopop songs sung by the same singers with different lyrics to suit the different rhyme and tonal patterns of Mandarin. K One is a Taiwanese boy band. The five-member band was formed in 2003 and disbanded in 2008. History K One belongs to the management company, Wingman, managed by former 5566 member, Rio Peng. Other artists that belong to this company include 劉耕宏Will Liu, Evonne Hsu許慧欣 (eVonne), Ivy (許嘉凌, eVonne's sister), Alicia(潘瑋儀), Vivi (夏如芝), Niki, 無限(Freddy and Teddy), Wing, Style (浩偉and宏霖), and育緯. The band was founded in 2002. It collaborated with five agents and five record companies during its existence. The band members are Tsai Shang Fu ("Gino") (), Chiang Chun Jui (), Chien Hsiao Ju (), Hsiao Li Yang (), and Cheng Jen Hao (). Gino () was the group's leader. Steve Chou () is a Taiwanese composer and singer. He is the youngest of three children, including an older sister and older brother. Monster (musician)
Monster or Wen Shang-yi (; born 28 November 1976, in Hsinchu County, Taiwan), is one of the two guitarists and leader of the Taiwanese rock band, Mayday. Monster became interested in music and the guitar while studying at the Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University where he also met three other Mayday members Ashin, Stone and Masa. Chen Hsin-hung (); Pha̍k-fa-sṳ: Chhîn Sìn-fên, nicknamed Ashin (;Pha̍k-fa-sṳ: A-sìn), born 6 December 1975, is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter, author, and the vocalist of the Taiwanese band Mayday. Ashin majored in art in college, where he also began his musical career. He is also the founder and designer of the clothing line StayReal and a shareholder of the music label B'in Music. TVXQ (stylized as TVXQ!), an initialism for Tong Vfang Xien Qi (), is a South Korean male pop duo consisting of U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin.
