Energising India
''Energising India'' (2004) is a short documentary on how India can have energy without polluting the atmosphere. Although about India, this is a German film (since the producers are German, GTZ) and directed by the National Award winning Indian director Jyoti Sarup. This film was premiered in the World Energy Conservation Conference, Germany, in 2004. Summary The film showcases methods of industrialisation through the case study of three of the top companies of India- INDAL Aluminium (Birla Group), Reliance Petro-Chemical (Reliance Group) and Raymond (Raymond Group). The film highlights the point that these companies have pollution below 1% and then shows the methods/techniques adopted by them. Trivia The film started off by showcasing only one company. Jyoti Sarup
Jyoti Sarup (born 20 August 1954 in New Delhi) is a National Award winning Indian film/serial director and producer, most known for directing the television series, ''Buniyaad'', and films like ''Chorni'' (1982) and '' Bub''(2001) . Biography An engineer from Govt Engineering College Ujjain, by education, he received a Diploma from NSD and FTII for Acting. He came to Mumbai (then Bombay) in 1978 to become an actor. Not belonging to a film background, he had to start from scratch. He started off as a Chief Assistant Director to Late Mr. Ramanand Sagar. After acting in a few films & television serials and being the Chief Assisting to a few directors of that time, e.g.: Late Shri Atma Ram and Late Shri Shakti Samata, he found himself more suited behind the camera. Solar power in India is a fast developing industry. The country's solar installed capacity was 61.966 GWAC as of 30 November 2022. Solar power generation in India ranks fourth globally in 2021. The Indian Government had an initial target of 20 GW capacity for 2022, which was achieved four years ahead of schedule. In 2015 the target was raised to 100 GW of solar capacity (including 40 GW from rooftop solar) by 2022, targeting an investment of 100 billion. India has established nearly 42 solar parks to make land available to the promoters of solar plants. Rooftop solar power accounts for 2.1 GW in 2018, of which 70% is industrial or commercial. Short Films
A short film is any motion picture that is short enough in running time not to be considered a feature film. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences defines a short film as "an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits".
