Enefiok Essien (SAN) (born 29 January 1960 in Ibiono-Ibom, Akwa Ibom) is a Nigerian professor, lawyer and Was the Vice Chancellor of the University of Uyo. Background Enefiok Effiong Essien was born on 29 January 1960 in Ibiono-Ibom local government of Akwa Ibom. He was born into the family of Effiong Okon and Ayie-Ubok James Essien. Education In 1984, he graduated with a Bachelor of Laws with honors from the University Calabar, Nigeria. In 1985 he attended Nigerian Law School, Lagos and graduated with Business Level law degree and in 1988 he attended University of Lagos and graduated with a Master of Laws. Ibiono-Ibom is a Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State in the south-south region of Nigeria. It has its administrative headquarters at Oko Ita. Geography The territorial unit and geographical area called, addressed and known as Ibiono Ibom consists of 9 clans, 33 groups, and 193 villages. The University of Lagos, popularly known as UNILAG, is a public research university located in Lagos, Nigeria and was founded in 1962. The Nigerian Law School is an educational institution set up by the Government of Nigeria in 1962 to provide a Nigerian legal education to foreign-trained lawyers, and to provide practical training for aspiring Legal Practitioners in Nigeria.
