Ends Of The Earth (DC Comics)
"Ends of the Earth" is the name of a four-issue comic book story arc written by Gail Simone with art by Aaron Lopresti. Published in issues #20–23 of ''Wonder Woman'' vol. 3, it is the third story arc under Gail Simone's writing reigns, following " The Circle" and a two-parter found in issues #18–19. It also marks the return of DC Comics's version of the Beowulf character since his last appearance back in the 1970s. Publication history Gail Simone has said her thinking behind the series: Plot At a location where snow is falling and it is cold in the wind, Wonder Woman walks to her destination. She is hunted and attacked by wolves, who are diseased and are in no control of their attacks. With her help, Diana lets the wolves die in peace as like they were warriors before continuing on. Wonder Woman is a superhero created by the American psychologist and writer William Moulton Marston (pen name: Charles Moulton), and artist Harry G. Peter. Comics Bulletin was a daily website covering the American comic-book industry. History Silver Bullet Comicbooks The site was founded in January 2000 as Silver Bullet Comicbooks by its New Zealand-based publisher/editor Jason Brice. During this period, the site made efforts to support retired comics professionals. In a Silver Bullet column called ''Past Masters'', contributor Clifford Meth wrote about his efforts to support ailing comic book artist Dave Cockrum. As a result of his advocacy, Marvel Comics announced it would compensate Cockrum for his work in co-creating the X-Men. Queen of Fables is a supervillain who has battled the Justice League, Wonder Woman and Superman. Based on the character of the Evil Queen from "Snow White", the Queen of Fables is the living embodiment of all evil in folklore. She first appeared in '' JLA'' #47 (November 2000), and was created by Gail Simone, Mark Waid and Bryan Hitch. Fictional character biography The Queen of Fables was originally a sorceress from another dimension until she was exiled to Earth.
