Endless Winter
"Endless Winter" is a 2020 crossover event in DC Comics publications. Written by Andy Lanning and Ron Marz, the story follows the Frost King's efforts to cause an eternal global winter and the Justice League's efforts to stop him. The story appeared in nine issues spread across five comic titles published over five weeks in December 2020. Publication history DC first announced the storyline in July 2020. Initially planned to last two months as part of a major relaunch/rebranding effort by the publisher, by September it had been compressed to a five-week event. DC further advertised the story in a special 6-page section of their comics released on November 17. The crossover was spread across nine issues of various comic book titles, beginning and ending with the two-issue limited series titled ''Justice League: Endless Winter''. Andy Lanning
Andy Lanning is an English comic book writer and inker, known for his work for Marvel Comics and DC Comics, and for his collaboration with Dan Abnett. Career Lanning works primarily at Marvel Comics and DC Comics as an inker. He has also pencilled books, such as his creation ''The Sleeze Brothers''. Lanning's writing has included his and Abnett's 2000 relaunch of DC's title ''Legion of Super-Heroes''. The two co-created the Resurrection Man character with artist Jackson Guice in 1997. Lanning and Abnett also collaborated on an ongoing ''Nova'' series for Marvel, which premiered in 2007. The duo previously authored a ''Nova'' miniseries as a tie-in for the Marvel crossover Annihilation, starring Richard Rider, now the only member of the Xandarian Nova Corps. Aquaman
Aquaman is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger, the character debuted in ''More Fun Comics'' #73 (November 1941). The character is a pastiche of Namor. Initially a backup feature in DC's anthology titles, Aquaman later starred in several volumes of a solo comic book series. During the late 1950s and 1960s superhero-revival period known as the Silver Age, he was a founding member of the Justice League. In the 1990s Modern Age, writers interpreted Aquaman's character more seriously, with storylines depicting the weight of his role as king of Atlantis. Aquaman's villains include his archenemy Black Manta and his own half-brother Ocean Master, among others. Icicle (comics)
Icicle is the name of two supervillains appearing in comic books published by DC Comics: Joar Mahkent and Cameron Mahkent (father and son; to differentiate between the two, the suffixes, Senior and Junior, are used). A version of the character appeared in the fifth season of the Arrowverse show ''The Flash'', portrayed by Kyle Secor. This version is Thomas Snow who is the father of Caitlin Snow. Icicle also appeared in the first season of '' Stargirl'' as Jordan Mahkent, the main antagonist and leader of the Injustice Society, portrayed by Neil Jackson while Hunter Sansone appeared as his son Cameron Mahkent. Josephine MacDonald Josephine MacDonald, also known as Josie Mac, is a police officer of GCPD, first appearing in ''Detective Comics'' #763 (December 2001), created by Judd Winick and Cliff Chiang. Josie Mac had a promising career ahead of her, until she responded to a call and discovered the mayor's wife in bed with an exotic dancer. Four days after the incident, her mistake of embarrassing the mayor's wife got her moved to the Missing Persons department at the precinct. Josie made the best out of her transfer because unknown to her colleagues, she possessed minor psychic powers, which allowed her to find things and people which are lost through picking up "messages" from inanimate objects. John Stewart (character)
John Stewart, one of the characters known as Green Lantern, is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics and was the second African-American superhero to appear in DC Comics.
