Oceana Mahlmann (born January 23, 1982) is a German singer. Her musical roots are embedded in Soul music, soul, reggae, hip hop, and funk. Biography Oceana was raised by her mother, a German Haute Couture designer. Her father was a disc jockey, DJ from Martinique. The funk legend Maceo Parker is a close family friend and as a young child she performed with him on stage. In her teens, she established herself as dancer and choreographer. She performed in the role of Aida in the musical ''Aida (musical), Aida'' by Tim Rice and Elton John. She was also the vocal soloist in the musical version of ''Dirty Dancing'' by Eleanor Bergstein. In 2006, she was the choreographer of the German chart-breaking band Seeed. In 2008, she signed to Warner Bros. Records, Warner to establish herself as a singer-songwriter. Multiple record charts have been inaugurated in Romania since the 1990s. The Romanian Top 100 was the country's national chart until 2012. Founded in 1995, it was a ranking based on the compilation of charts submitted by local Romanian radio stations. The Romanian Top 100 was published weekly and was also announced during a radio show starting in 1998. Compilation of the list was first handled by Body M Production A-V, followed by Media Forest. In the 2010s, the chart was announced during a podcast on Kiss FM, but the broadcast ended in February 2012. VIVA (TV Station)
VIVA (abbreviation for: translating to "Video Exploitation Facility") was a German free-to-air music television channel, first broadcast on 1 December 1993. The channel was intended to compete against MTV Europe and was the first German-language music TV channel, while MTV was only broadcast in English until the introduction of MTV Germany in 1997. It was also supposed to focus more on German music and pop culture while MTV only broadcast anglophone music by artists mostly from North America, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia.
