Ender Chávez
Ender James Chávez (born March 9, 1981) is a Venezuelan professional baseball coach. He is the former batting practice pitcher for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB). He is the younger brother of former Major League Baseball outfielder Endy Chávez. Career Playing career Chávez signed with the Colorado Rockies as a non-drafted free agent on Aug. 31, 1998, playing his first two seasons in the Venezuelan Summer League in 1999 and 2000. In 2001, Chávez played for the Casper Rockies before being traded to the New York Mets on August 23, 2001, as the player to be named later for Gary Bennett. Chávez played for the St. Lucie Mets for the 2002 season before being promoted to the Brooklyn Cyclones where he played from 2002 to 2003 before splitting the '03 season with the Cyclones, Capital City Bombers, and St. Lucie. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the bases. As an outfielder, they normally play behind the six players located in the field. By convention, each of the nine defensive positions in baseball is numbered. The outfield positions are 7 (left field), 8 (center field) and 9 (right field). These numbers are shorthand designations useful in baseball scorekeeping and are not necessarily the same as the squad numbers worn on player uniforms. The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are an American Minor League Baseball team based in Binghamton, New York. The Kingsport Mets were a Minor League Baseball team of the Appalachian League from 1921 to 2020. They were located in Kingsport, Tennessee, and were last named for the team's major league affiliate, the New York Mets. The team played its home games at Hunter Wright Stadium which opened in 1995. The Golden Baseball League was an independent baseball league based in San Ramon, California, with teams located in the western United States, western Canada and northwest Mexico. The GBL was not affiliated with Major League Baseball or the organized Minor League Baseball system, but has featured players with MLB experience (Rickey Henderson, Jose Canseco, Alex Arias, Bud Smith, Desi Wilson, José Lima, Hideki Irabu, Junior Spivey, Mark Prior). The Yuma Desert Rats were a professional baseball team based in Yuma, Arizona, in the United States. From the 2005 season to the 2011 season, they were known as the Yuma Scorpions and played their home games at Desert Sun Stadium at the Ray Kroc Complex, former spring training home of the San Diego Padres. There have been four different professional baseball clubs in Venezuela that have played under the name Pastora. These teams have been established in the northwest of the country, particularly in the states of Zulia and Acarigua, and have played in different leagues between 1931 and 2000.
