"End of the Road" is an episode of '' Thunderbirds'', a British Supermarionation television series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson and filmed by their production company AP Films (later Century 21 Productions) for ITC Entertainment. Written by Dennis Spooner and directed by David Lane, it was first broadcast on 25 November 1965 on ATV Midlands as the ninth episode of Series One. Set in the 2060s, ''Thunderbirds'' follows the missions of International Rescue, a secret organisation which uses technologicallyadvanced rescue vehicles to save human life. ''Thunderbirds'' is a British science fiction television series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, filmed by their production company AP Films (APF) and distributed by ITC Entertainment. It was made between 1964 and 1966 using a form of electronic marionette puppetry (dubbed " Supermarionation") combined with scale model special effects sequences. Two series, totalling thirty-two 50-minute episodes, were filmed; production ended with the completion of the sixth episode of the second series after Lew Grade, the Andersons' financial backer, failed in his bid to sell the programme to American network television. Tin-Tin Kyrano
Tin-Tin Kyrano is a fictional character introduced in the 1960s British Supermarionation puppet television series '' Thunderbirds''. In the original TV series and its film sequels, the voice of Tin-Tin was provided by actress Christine Finn. In the live-action film adaptation, the character was played by Vanessa Hudgens, while in the remake series, she was voiced by Angel Coulby. ''Thunderbirds'' (1965–66) Background Sylvia Anderson, ''Thunderbirds'' co-producer and character co-creator, writes that Tin-Tin was conceived mainly to "redress the balance" of the "male-dominated" primary puppet cast. Grandma Tracy
Grandma Tracy is a fictional character in the puppet television series '' Thunderbirds'' and its animated remake '' Thunderbirds Are Go''. She is the mother of Jeff Tracy and the paternal grandmother of the Tracy brothers: Scott, John, Virgil, Gordon and Alan. The character was voiced by Christine Finn in the original series and Sandra Dickinson in the remake. David Holliday
David Holliday (August 4, 1937March 26, 1999) was an American Broadway actor and television voice actor. He is best known as the voice of Virgil Tracy, pilot of ''Thunderbird 2'', in the first series (26 episodes) of '' Thunderbirds'' (1965–66). Career Stage Holliday's longest-running role on Broadway was that of Richard Kiley's alternate as Don Quixote in ''Man of La Mancha'', playing Don Quixote in matinees and Dr Carrasco in the evening performances, from 1965 to 1971 (and later took on the role of the innkeeper in the 1992 revival). His next performance, as Georges in '' Coco'', (1969 – 1970) earned him a Theatre World Award. Peter Dyneley
Peter Dyneley (13 April 1921 – 19 August 1977) was a British actor. Although he appeared in many smaller roles in both film and television, he is best remembered for supplying the voice of Jeff Tracy for the 1960s "Supermarionation" TV series '' Thunderbirds'' and its two film sequels, '' Thunderbirds Are Go'' (1966) and ''Thunderbird 6'' (1968), all produced by Gerry Anderson. Christine Finn
Christine L. T. Finn (1929 – 5 December 2007) was an English actress, known primarily for her role in the 1950s TV serial ''Quatermass and the Pit'', and, after that, her voice work for the 1960s '' Thunderbirds'' television series. She also performed in film, radio and theatre in a career that started in the 1940s and lasted until the mid-1970s. Life and work Finn was born and brought up in India. Brains (Thunderbirds)
Brains is a fictional character introduced in the British mid-1960s Supermarionation television series '' Thunderbirds'', who also appears in the sequel films '' Thunderbirds Are Go'' (1966) and ''Thunderbird 6'' (1968) and the 2004 live-action adaptation '' Thunderbirds''. The puppet character was voiced by David Graham in the TV series and the first two films, while Anthony Edwards played the role for the live-action film.
