Encyclopaedia Of Iranian Architectural History
The Encyclopaedia of Iranian Architectural History is an encyclopedia with articles on the history of architecture in the Iranian World. In 2006, it was established by the Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, and co-sponsored by the Iranian Academy of the Arts. Persian Language
Persian (), also known by its endonym Farsi (, ', ), is a Western Iranian language belonging to the Iranian branch of the Indo-Iranian subdivision of the Indo-European languages. Iranian Academy Of The Arts
The Iranian Academy of Arts (IAA) ( fa, فرهنگستان هنر ایران; formally Academy of Arts of the Islamic Republic of Iran) was established in March 2000. It is one of the four academies of the Islamic Republic of Iran; the other three are: the Iranian Academy of Medical Sciences, the Iranian Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Persian Language and Literature. The IIA is an authorised entity affiliated with presidential administration. Presidency Mir Hossein Mousavi served as president for 11 years until he was removed in 2009. History Of Architecture
The history of architecture traces the changes in architecture through various traditions, regions, overarching stylistic trends, and dates. The beginnings of all these traditions is thought to be humans satisfying the very basic need of shelter and protection. The term "architecture" generally refers to buildings, but in its essence is much broader, including fields we now consider specialized forms of practice, such as urbanism, civil engineering, naval, military, and landscape architecture. Trends in architecture were influenced, among other factors, by technological innovations, particularly in the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. Greater Iran ( fa, ایران بزرگ, translit=Irān-e Bozorg) refers to a region covering parts of Western Asia, Central Asia, South Asia, Xinjiang, and the Caucasus, where both Culture of Iran, Iranian culture and Iranian languages have had a significant presence and impact. Mohammad Beheshti Shirazi
Mohammad Beheshti Shirazi ( fa, محمد بهشتی شیرازی; born 28 February 1952) is an Iranian politician, artist and cultural figure who is currently Deputy Head of Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization. He was the first head of Cultural Heritage, Handcrafts and Tourism Organization, being appointed on 2 September 1997 by Mohammad Khatami and held the office until 2 June 2003 when he replaced with Hossein Marashi. He was also head of the Fajr International Film Festival and a member of Iranian Academy of the Arts. He is an assistant professor at Shahid Beheshti University. Shahid Behesti University ( fa, دانشگاه شهید بهشتی , Dāneshgāh-e Shahid Beheshti) (formerly known as the National University of Iran) is a public research university in Tehran, Iran. The university offers many programs at Bachelor's, Master's and Ph.D. levels. History Shahid Behesti University was founded in 1959 by Ali Sheikholislam. The university was planned to be devoted to graduate studies. At its opening, it consisted of two schools: Architecture and Urban Planning, and Banking and Economics, with 174 students.
