Encarnação (Lisbon Metro)
Encarnação is a station on the Red Line of the Lisbon Metro. The station is located under Rua General Silva Freire in the parish of Encarnação, a densely populated residential neighbourhood of northern Lisbon. The station, designed by the architect Alberto Barradas, opened on 17 July 2012 in conjunction with the Moscavide and Aeroporto stations, as part of the expansion of the line to serve Lisbon Portela Airport. Metropolitano S.A. was a privately owned consortium formed in 1994 to take over concessions granted by the Argentine government as part of railway privatisation during the presidency of Carlos Menem for the operation of commuter rail services in the Buenos Aires Province. Cais Do Sodré (Lisbon Metro)
Cais do Sodré is a station on the Green Line of the Lisbon Metro. It is located in the Praça Duque da Terceira, connecting to the Cais do Sodré railway station and with a boat station (allowing for quick travel between Lisbon and Cacilhas, Seixal and Montijo. History This metro station was built by Pedro Botelho and Nuno Teotónio Pereira and the art work was done by António Dacosta, which left some of his drawings to be used in the station after his death, with some help from the painter Pedro Morais. Restauradores station is on the Blue Line of the Lisbon Metro. History It is one of the 11 stations that belong to the original Lisbon Metro network, opened on December 29, 1959. This station is located on Praça dos Restauradores, from which it takes its name, and connects to the Rossio Railway Station (Sintra Line). The architectural design of the original station is by Falcão e Cunha. On February 11, 1977, the station was extended, based on the architectural design of Benoliel de Carvalho. Oriente is a station on the Red Line of the Lisbon Metro. The station is located in Lisbon, between the Cabo Ruivo and Moscavide stations. The station is a part of the Gare do Oriente, one of the main transport hubs of the city, serving the North, Sintra, and Azambuja Lines and also several bus lines. History The station opened on 19 May 1998 in conjunction with the Alameda, Olaias, Bela Vista and Chelas stations, with the original construction of the Red Line, connection central Lisbon to the new zone occupied by the EXPO'98.
