Alita Román
Alita Blanca Barchigia (24 August 1912 – 15 April 1989), better known as Alita Román, was an Argentine film actress of the Golden Age of Argentine Cinema (1940–1960). She appeared in nearly 50 films between 1934 and 1982 and was a sought-after supporting actress, winning the Best Supporting Actress from the Argentine Academy of Cinematography Arts and Sciences for her work in '' Concierto de almas'' and playing in many box-office hits. She also performed in live theater and on television and radio. Biography Román began her career in theater in the early 1930s, debuting with Narciso Ibáñez Menta and later joining the company of Lola Membrives. Her film debut was in a 1934 Sono Film production, '' Riachuelo'', directed by Luis Moglia Barth starring Luis Sandrini and Héctor Calcaño. Homero Cárpena
Homero Cárpena (14 February 1910 – 17 January 2001) was an Argentine film actor born in Mar del Plata. He appeared in 72 films between 1933 and 1972 although the bulk of his work was in the late 1930s and 1940s. He starred in '' El hombre señalado'', which was entered into the 7th Berlin International Film Festival. He was the father of actresses Claudia Cárpena and Nora Cárpena. Pampa Film
Pampa Film was an Argentine film production company that was active in the 1930s and 1940s. It is known for its classic '' Prisioneros de la tierra'' (1939). History Pampa Film was founded in January 1937 by Warner Bros. in partnership with the local entrepreneur Olegario Ferrando. The company used the Lumiton facilities at first, and Lumiton was to distribute its films. Later the link with Lumiton was severed. Luis Saslavsky directed ''Sueño de Una Vide Nueva'' for Pampa Film, released in Argentina as '' La fuga'' by Warner Bros. on 28 July 1937 with music by César Gola. It was one of the hits of the year. Jorge Luis Borges praised the romantic comedy, saying it did not "suffer from fruitless images" but flowed "the way American films do."
