Bohai Strait Tunnel
The Bohai Strait Tunnel or Dalian-Yantai Tunnel is a proposed undersea tunnel construction project across the Bohai Strait to connect Dalian on the Liaodong Peninsula with Yantai on the Shandong Peninsula. The official name for the project is Bohai Strait Cross-Sea Traffic Way ( zh, 渤海海峡跨海通道). Crossing the Bohai Strait, the tunnel would be long, of which would be underwater. This would exceed the combined lengths of the two longest undersea tunnels on Earth, the Seikan Tunnel () and the Channel Tunnel (). The tunnel is planned to run more than under the Strait. Operated by China Railway Engineering Corporation, the tunnel would be linked to the Chinese high speed railway system. Cars would be loaded on railway carriages to make the 40-minute crossing. Currently, the Bohai Train Ferry, inaugurated in 2007, crosses the strait in eight hours. The project was estimated to cost 200 billion yuan (US$32 billion). In August 2014, it was reported that work is likel ...

Sakhalin–Hokkaido Tunnel
The Sakhalin–Hokkaido Tunnel (or potentially bridge) is a proposed connection to link the Russian island of Sakhalin with the Japanese island of Hokkaido. Cost estimates by Russia in the year 2000 put the project to span the strait at $50 billion. Overview On 16 January 2009, the Russian Vice-Minister of Transport, Andrei Nedossekov, confirmed that proposals are now under consideration in regards to the Sakhalin–Hokkaido Tunnel. The proposal was for a bridge rather than a tunnel. His decision to invite Japanese companies to bid to become consortium members of a wide array of Russian rail infrastructure work, particularly the Sakhalin Tunnel (or Sakhalin bridge, bridge) to the Russian mainland could be taken as a nod towards future rail cooperation between Russia and Japan. The tunnel would span roughly 40–45 km between Sakhalin's Cape Crillon (in Russia) to Hokkaido's Cape Sōya (in Japan). In comparison, the completed Seikan Tunnel links the Japanese islands ...

Transfer to other stations is not possible from the museum. Tappi-Kaitei Station, the JR station in the tunnel, was installed for fast evacuation.
