''En herre med bart'' ( en, A Gentleman with a Moustache}) is a 1942 Norwegian comedy film directed by Alfred Maurstad, based on a play by Finn Bø, and starring Per Aabel and Wenche Foss. Attorney Ole Grong (Aabel) and his wife Cecilie (Foss) are having marital difficulties. After they decide on a divorce, they both go away to recuperate and, when they happen to check in at the same hotel, complications ensue. Alfred Maurstad
Alfred Jentoft Maurstad (26 July 1896 – 5 September 1967) was a Norwegian actor, movie director and theatre manager. Biography Alfred Jentoft Maurstad was born at Bryggja in Davik (now Vågsøy) in Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. He was the son of Brynnel Maurstad (1859–1943) and Lovise Marie Brølos (1867–1943). Maurstad attended a military academy in Bergen (''Bergenske Brigades Underoffiserskole''). During his teenage years he performed in several concerts in the district of Nordfjord, playing on his Hardanger fiddle. He moved to Kristiania and debuted in 1921 at Det Norske Teatret. He began working at the Nationaltheatret in 1930. He was the theatre manager at Trøndelag Theater from 1945 to 1950. Bjarne Bø
Bjarne Bø (April 3, 1907 – August 9, 1998) was a Norwegian actor. Bø was born in Skjeberg in the municipality of Sarpsborg in Østfold county, Norway. He debuted in 1939 in the role of Sjur in the play ''Hu Dagmar'' by Ove Ansteinsson (1884–1942) at the Bjørnevik Theater. From 1935 to 1939 he acted at the National Theater, mostly playing minor roles. In 1951 he moved to the new People's Theater. This merged with the Oslo New Theater in 1959, and he played the rest of his career there. His most important work was at the Children's Theater, where he wrote, taught, and played in over 1,000 performances together with children. He was a recognized poetry reciter and was often engaged as a reader for NRK radio and television. For generations, he was known as a great storyteller, and especially his narration of the Norwegian folk tale ''Reve-enka'' (The Fox's Widow) is remembered by many. Dagmar Myhrvold
Dagmar Myhrvold (April 19, 1898 – April 21, 1972) was a Norwegian actress. After attending Sofie Bernhoft's school, Myhrvold spent a year studying theater in Copenhagen. In 1916 she was able to make her debut as a participant in Edvard Drabløs's touring theater. The following year there was a tour with '' The Dance of Death'' by August Strindberg, in which she played two roles, was responsible for the music, and played violin. From 1919 onward she was engaged with the Norwegian Theater. Einar Vaage
Einar Vaage (March 1, 1889 – June 11, 1973) was a Norwegian actor. Vaage was active in Oslo from 1921 onward, where he was engaged with the Central Theater (from 1925 to 1931) and the Oslo New Theater. The comedy roles that Vaage played include the clerk Styver in Henrik Ibsen's play '' Love's Comedy''. Vaage appeared in 49 Norwegian films. He played bit roles in most of them. Waage debuted in the silent film '' Madame besøker Oslo'' in 1927, and he played one of the lead roles in '' Sangen om Rondane'' in 1934, which was one of the first sound films in Norway. He is probably best remembered for his portrayal of Judge Nicolai Bals in '' Tante Pose'' (1940). Vaage's last film role was in the 1964 comedy '' Husmorfilmen høsten 1964''. Gunnar Carl Andreas Olram (19 December 1908 – 12 January 2001) was a Norwegian actor and stage instructor. He was born in Halden. He made his stage debut at Centralteatret in 1930. Carl Struve
Carl Struve (April 12, 1887 – November 26, 1974) was a Norwegian actor and singer. He studied singing with Wilhelm Kloed and made his debut at the National Theatre (Oslo), National Theater in Oslo in 1908. Struve was engaged with the theater until 1919, when he also made his US debut. He also performed at a number of theaters in Stockholm, Finland, and the UK from 1921 to 1928. Alfhild Stormoen (née Alfhild Larsen, January 30, 1883 – February 11, 1974) was a Norwegian Norwegian actress and director.
