''En Thangachi Padichava'' () is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by P. Vasu. The film stars Prabhu, Rupini and Chithra. The film, produced by Mohan Natarajan and Tharangai V. Shanmugam, had musical score by Gangai Amaran and was released on 15 July 1988. The film completed a 100-day run at the box-office. It was remade in Telugu as ''Muddula Mavayya'' (1989), in Hindi as ''Aaj Ka Arjun'' (1990), and in Kannada as ''Ravimama'' (1999). Plot Dhanakodi, an honest police officer, is transferred to a small village. In this village, Karunakaran, a rich landlord, spreads terror among the villagers and threatens them to obtain their lands. After spending five years in jail for a murder, Periasamy is back to his village. Dhanakodi wants to trap the heartless Karunakaran at any cost. Prabhu Ganesan (born 25 December 1956), known professionally as Prabhu, is an Indian actor, businessman and film producer who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. He is the son of veteran actor Sivaji Ganesan. He is popularly known as ''Ilaya Thilagam''. He has worked in more than 215 films in lead and supporting roles in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child. Even though he was a Malayali, as was the case with the majority of contemporary South Indian migrants to Malaya then, his surroundings in Malaysia was dominated by the Tamil language and culture. A ''raga'' or ''raag'' (; also ''raaga'' or ''ragam''; ) is a melodic framework for improvisation in Indian classical music akin to a melodic mode. The ''rāga'' is a unique and central feature of the classical Indian music tradition, and as a result has no direct translation to concepts in classical European music. Each ''rāga'' is an array of melodic structures with musical motifs, considered in the Indian tradition to have the ability to "colour the mind" and affect the emotions of the audience.
