En Aasai Machan
''En Aasai Machan'' () is a 1994 Indian Tamil language drama film directed by R. Sundarrajan. The film stars Vijayakanth, Murali, Revathi and Ranjitha. The film, produced by Tamil Fathima, had musical score by Deva and was released on 26 August 1994. Plot Subramani, the college leader, falls in love with Meenakshi, but she requests him to complete her challenges to accept his love. Subramani succeeds her challenges, and when she asks him to kiss her in public, he is arrested by a police officer. Aruchami, Subramani's brother, the respected village chief, lives with Thayamma. In the past, Subramani's mother died during Subramani's childbirth. Aruchami and Thayamma got engaged when they were children. They stayed unmarried to take care of Subramani. Narayanan Vijayaraj Alagarswami (born 25 August 1952), better known by his stage name Vijayakanth, is an Indian politician and former actor who has worked predominantly in Tamil cinema. He was the Leader of the Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from 2011 to 2016. Before entering politics Vijayakanth was a successful actor, producer and director. Vijayakanth is also the current DMDK chairman of Tamil Nadu legislative assembly. The ''New Straits Times'' is an English-language newspaper published in Malaysia. Gangai Amaran is an Indian music composer, singer, lyricist, writer, film director and actor in Tamil films. Personal life Gangai Amaran was born in Pannaipuram in Theni district, Tamil Nadu in December 1947, as the youngest son of Daniel Ramaswamy and Chinnathayi. He is the younger brother of noted music director Ilaiyaraaja and father of director and actor Venkat Prabhu and actor, composer and singer Premji Amaren. He had two more elder brothers, R. D. Tamil Nadu State Film Awards
Tamil Nadu State Film Awards were given for excellence in Tamil cinema in India. They were given annually to honour the best talents and provide encouragement and incentive to the South Indian film industry by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The awards were decided by a committee headed by a Judge. The awards were first given in 1967 and discontinued after 1970. The awards were given again in 1977 and continued till 1982. The awards were not given in the years 1971 to 1976. However, in the year 1977, the awards for Best Actress and Best Actor were announced for the years 1971 to 1976 by way of honorary certificates by the government led by the then chief minister M.G.Ramachandran.
