Emílio Santiago
Emílio Vitalino Santiago (6 December 1946 – 20 March 2013), known as Emílio Santiago, was a Brazilian singer. Biography Early years Attending college at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro Law School in the 1970s, where he graduated at the insistence of parents, began to sing in college festivals this same decade and participated in a program, reaching a final program Flávio Cavalcanti, in defunct TV Tupi. He worked as a crooner at Ed Lincoln orchestra, and many performances in nightclubs and concert halls nightly. Music career In 1973 he released the first single for Polydor Records, with songs "Transa de amor" and "Saravá Nega", which caused major interests in radio and television programs. Stroke
A stroke is a medical condition in which poor blood flow to the brain causes cell death. There are two main types of stroke: ischemic, due to lack of blood flow, and hemorrhagic, due to bleeding. Both cause parts of the brain to stop functioning properly. Signs and symptoms of a stroke may include an inability to move or feel on one side of the body, problems understanding or speaking, dizziness, or loss of vision to one side. Luiz Gonzaga do Nascimento, Jr. (September 22, 1945 – April 29, 1991), better known as Gonzaguinha (), in Portuguese Little Gonzaga, was a noted Brazilian singer and composer. He was born in Rio de Janeiro and he was the son of Luiz Gonzaga ('Gonzagão', 'Big Gonzaga'), the "king of baião". Gonzaguinha was killed in a car accident on April 29, 1991, in Renascença, state of Paraná, southern Brazil. Many eminent Brazilian artists recorded his compositions, such as Maria Bethânia, Simone, Elis Regina, Fagner, and Joanna. Among these, stands out Simone and great hits like "Sangrando", "Mulher, e daí" and "Começaria tudo outra vez". Farnésio Dutra e Silva (14 November 1921 – 4 August 1987), better known as Dick Farney, was a Brazilian (jazz) pianist, pop-composer, and "crooner" popular in Brazil from the late 1940s to the mid 1970s and 1980s. He began playing piano as a child as his father taught him classical music and his mother taught him how to sing. In 1937, he debuted as a singer on the show "Hora Juvenil" of Radio Cruzeiro do Sul in Rio de Janeiro, performing the song ''Deep Purple'' composed by Pete DeRose. Dick was taken by César Ladeira to Radio Mayrink Veiga to host the program "Dick Farney, the Voice and Piano". He then formed the group "Os Swing Maniacos" alongside his brother Cyll Farney on drums.
