Empty Room, written by Bobby Ljunggren and Aleena Gibson, is a ballad song about loss, missing someone and unrequited love, performed by Sanna Nielsen at Melodifestivalen 2008. Performing ''Empty Room'', Sanna Nielsen did her English language-debut at Melodifestivalen. The song made it directly from the competition in Västerås on 16 February 2008 to the final in the Stockholm Globe Arena on 15 March 2008. In the final, the song finished on second place, with totally 206 points, and won most points among telephone voters, 132 votes. The song was placed number 3 after the jury votes, who gave it 74 points. The I-person of the song lyrics sings about losing a loved one, and describes the feelings like an ''empty room'', before trying to move on in life. The song won the 2008 OGAE Second Chance Contest. Sanna Nielsen
Sanna Viktoria Nielsen (born 27 November 1984) is a Swedish singer and television presenter. On her seventh attempt, she won Melodifestivalen in 2014 with the song " Undo" and so represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark, finishing in 3rd place overall. Sanna was one of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 commentators for Sweden and hosted Melodifestivalen 2015 along with comedian Robin Paulsson. She was announced as the new presenter for the sing-along show ''Allsång på Skansen'' for the summer of 2016. She hosted ''Eurovision The Party'' at the Tele2 Arena for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. Career Nielsen was born and grew up in the town of Edenryd in Bromölla Municipality, Skåne. ''Allsång på Skansen'' (''Sing-along at Skansen'') is a Swedish show held at Skansen, Stockholm, every summer on Tuesdays between 8pm and 9pm. The audience is encouraged to sing along with musical guest stars to well-known Swedish and international songs. The show started in 1935 on a small scale; about 50 people in the audience. Today, about 10,000–25,500 people come to each performance. Since 3 August 1979 the show has been broadcast by Sveriges Television. Initially the show had about 300,000 viewers. When Lasse Berghagen took over as host, the ratings increased to about 2 million viewers. In 2003, ''Allsång på Skansen'' was the first SVT programme that was broadcast with 5.1 multichannel sound. Tracks, or Trackslistan, was a top 20 song list and a program of the Sweden, Swedish Radio channel Sveriges Radio P3, SR P3. The program premiered on 8 September 1984, and was broadcast on Saturday afternoons. The listeners voted for the songs they think is the best. Track list was one of the top music charts in Sweden. The predecessor of the Tracks was "Poporama" and was broadcast between 1974 and 1984. The host for the show was Kaj Kindvall. The chart was discontinued in 2010. The three most popular artists on the chart were Kent, Madonna and Roxette. Trackslistan on television "Trackslistan" was broadcast for three seasons in the mid-2000s by Sveriges Television, SVT. ''Svensktoppen'' () is a weekly record chart airing at Sveriges Radio. Until January 2003, the songs had to be in the Swedish language.
