Empires (Jimi Jamison Album)
''Empires'' is the second solo album from American rock singer-songwriter Jimi Jamison, released under the name Jimi Jamison's Survivor on October 17, 1999 for Scotti Brothers, was distributed in Germany by Soulfood Music and produced by Klay Shroedel. In 2003, after a battle in court over access to the name Survivor, this album would be re-released under his own name for Frontiers Records. The album highlight is the'' Baywatch'' hit theme song; as bonus tracks, it includes three live versions of previous Survivor songs ("Burning Heart", "Rebel Son" and "Too Hot to Sleep") plus the Christmas song "Keep It Evergreen" and a cover of the 1976 hit song " Love Is Alive" by Gary Wright. Jimi Jamison
Jimmy Wayne Jamison (August 23, 1951 – September 1, 2014) was an American singer. Best known as Jimi Jamison, he earned recognition as the frontman for the rock bands Target, Cobra, and Survivor from 1984 to 1989, performing the songs " Burning Heart" from the film ''Rocky IV'', " The Moment of Truth" from ''The Karate Kid'', along with other top-20 Survivor hits "I Can't Hold Back", " High On You", "The Search Is Over" and "Is This Love". He officially rejoined Survivor in 2000, remaining in the group until 2006, only to rejoin again in 2011. Acclaimed for his vocal abilities, Jamison is also known for having co-written and performed the theme song "I'm Always Here" for the 1990s TV series ''Baywatch''. John D'Andrea
John D'Andrea is an American television composer, arranger and music writer. Biography D'Andrea, as a boy, was interested in being a musician, due to his father's career playing the saxophone in local New Jersey bands, because of this, his father gave him a saxophone for his ninth birthday. Years later, D'Andrea attended the Arts High School for music and the Manhattan School of Music in New York. At the same time he, like his father, participated in local New Jersey bands, as a player, singer, and arranger. D'Andrea met Bob Marcucci in 1963. Cory Charles Lerios (born February 12, 1951) is an American pianist and vocalist. He is a founding member of the platinum-record-selling soft rock band Pablo Cruise, and since the mid-1980s he has scored music for film and television. History Lerios was born, in Palo Alto, California, and entered the music industry in 1971 with the San Francisco Bay area band Stoneground. At the time, Stoneground was signed with Warner Bros., and Lerios was 20 years old. After leaving the band in 1973, Lerios, along with fellow Stoneground members Steve Price and David Jenkins, formed Pablo Cruise. In 1975, they released their first album, self-titled ''Pablo Cruise'', for A&M Records. Michael Andrew Sembello (born April 17, 1954) is an American singer, guitarist, keyboardist, songwriter, composer and producer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
