''Emotion'' is the twenty-third studio album of pop singer Barbra Streisand, issued in October 1984 by Columbia Records. The album has been certified Platinum in the US by the RIAA and Gold in the UK by the BPI. Overview This album was recorded in eleven studios in Los Angeles and two in New York with a multitude of producers and composers. Produced by Jim Steinman, "Left in the Dark" was the lead single peaking at #50 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. "Make No Mistake, He's Mine", a duet with Kim Carnes, was the album's second single and charted at #8 on the Adult Contemporary chart and #51 on the Billboard Hot 100. The final single "Emotion", featuring the Pointer Sisters on background vocals, was also released as extended 12" remix. An instrumental version of "Here We Are At Last" appeared on the soundtrack of the 1987 feature film ''Nuts''. Make No Mistake, He's Mine
"Make No Mistake, He's Mine" is a song written by Kim Carnes, recorded as a duet with Barbra Streisand in 1984. The duet was subsequently recorded as "Make No Mistake, She's Mine" by Ronnie Milsap and Kenny Rogers in 1987. Both versions of the song charted. In the wake of the ''Glee'' cover, where a man and woman sing about a female lover, Carnes said there were now "three different meanings of the song", regarding the malleability of the piece as "rewarding and gratifying". The Who
The Who are an English rock band formed in London in 1964. Kris Kristofferson
Kristoffer Kristofferson (born June 22, 1936) is a retired American singer, songwriter and actor. ''Nuts'' is a 1987 American drama film directed by Martin Ritt, starring Barbra Streisand and Richard Dreyfuss. The screenplay by Tom Topor, Darryl Ponicsan and Alvin Sargent is based on Topor's 1979 play of the same title. It was both Karl Malden and Robert Webber's final feature film, and also included Leslie Nielsen's last non-comedic role. ''Nuts'' is the soundtrack album to the 1987 American film of the same name. It was released by Columbia Records on December 21, 1987, and features five instrumental compositions by American singer Barbra Streisand. ''Nuts'' is the singer's first release since her live album '' One Voice'', earlier in 1987, and her first soundtrack since '' Yentl'' (1983). She insisted on creating the film's score after acquiring the movie through her production company, Barwood Films. The album contains four original songs written and produced by Streisand, in addition to "The Bar", which samples her collaboration with Richard Baskin titled "Here We Are at Last", originally included on her twenty-third studio album, ''Emotion'' (1984). The Pointer Sisters are an American pop and R&B singing group from Oakland, California, that achieved mainstream success during the 1970s and 1980s. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. The weekly tracking period for sales was initially Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015. This tracking period also applies to compiling online streaming data.
