Emmering, Ebersberg
Emmering is a community in the Upper Bavarian district of Ebersberg. It is a member of the administrative community (''Verwaltungsgemeinschaft'') of Aßling. Geography Emmering is located in the Munich region. It includes one traditional rural land unit – ''Gemarkung'' in German – also called Emmering. History Emmering belonged to the ''Rentamt'' of Munich and the Court of Swabia of the Electorate of Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, the current community came into being with the community edict of 1818. Population development Politics The community’s mayor (''Bürgermeister'') is Claudia Streu-Schütze ( FWG Emmering). The community’s tax revenue in 2018 was € 1,169,000, of which € 153,000 was from business taxes. Ebersberg (district)
''Landkreis'' (district) Ebersberg is located in Upper Bavaria, Germany. It is bounded by (from the north and clockwise) the districts of Erding, Mühldorf, Rosenheim and Munich. History The most important event in the district's history was the battle of Hohenlinden on December 3, 1800, which was a part of the Napoleonic Wars. Geography The district includes rural areas east of the city of Munich. Despite the vicinity of Munich urbanisation is low. Free Voters
Free Voters (german: Freie Wähler, FW or FWG) in Germany may belong to an association of people which participates in an election without having the status of a registered political party. Usually it involves a locally organized group of voters in the form of a registered association (eV). In most cases, Free Voters campaign only at the local-government level, standing for city councils and for mayoralties. Free Voters tend to achieve their most successful electoral results in rural areas of southern Germany, appealing most to conservative voters who prefer local decisions to party politics. Free Voter groups are active in all German states. Unlike in the other German states, the Free Voters of Bavaria have also contested state elections since 1998. Aßling
Aßling (spelled with the German ß) is a municipality in the district of Ebersberg, Upper Bavaria, Germany. It is, along with the communities of Emmering and Frauenneuharting, a member of the administrative community () of the same name. Geography Aßling lies within the Munich commuter area, about 40 km from that city. It has its own railway station on the Munich–Salzburg line. Grafing bei München lies only 7 km away, Ebersberg is 11 km away, Wasserburg am Inn 23 km and Rosenheim 20 km. However, there is no connection to any main highway in the Aßling area. Aßling also holds two rural areas (), Aßling and Loitersdorf. History Aßling had its first documentary mention, as ''Azzalinga'', on 18 September 778.
