Emmanuel Benjamin
Emmanuel Benjamin (born 2 February 1955), nicknamed Benji, is an Australian former professional cricketer who played at high levels in Australia, England, and India. He was born in India, but emigrated to Australia in the 1980s and became a naturalised Australian citizen. Life and career Born in Jullundur, Benjamin toured the British Isles with an India Schools representative side during the 1973 English season, playing six matches alongside future Test player Bharath Reddy and several other future first-class cricketers. After playing for a North Zone schools side in the under-age Cooch Behar Trophy, Benjamin made his first-class debut in October 1973, taking two wickets for a Vazir Sultan Tobacco Colts XI against a Hyderabad Cricket Association XI in the quarter-final of the Moin-ud-Dowlah Gold Cup Tournament. Colin Rutterford
Colin Rutterford (born 1 August 1943) is a former English cricketer. Rutterford was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm fast-medium. He was born in Lakenheath, Suffolk. Rutterford made his debut for Suffolk in the 1965 Minor Counties Championship against Buckinghamshire. Rutterford played Minor counties cricket for Suffolk from 1965 to 1986, making 119 Minor Counties Championship appearances and 4 MCCA Knockout Trophy appearances. Rutterford took 431 wickets in the Minor Counties Championship for Suffolk, second only to Cyril Perkins, who took 779. He made his List A debut against Kent in the 1966 Gillette Cup. In cricket, a batter is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batter is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. The Ranji Trophy (also known as Mastercard Ranji Trophy for sponsorship reasons) is a domestic first-class cricket championship played in India between multiple teams representing regional and state cricket associations. Jammu And Kashmir Cricket Team
The Jammu and Kashmir cricket team is a cricket team based in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, run by JKCA. It is in the Elite Group C of the Ranji Trophy. Its main home ground is the Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium in Srinagar, and it also plays at Gandhi Memorial Science College Ground in Jammu. History Jammu and Kashmir first took part in the Ranji Trophy in 1959-60. Until recent seasons it had always been one of the weaker teams. All-rounder
An all-rounder is a cricketer who regularly performs well at both batting and bowling. Although all bowlers must bat and quite a handful of batsmen do bowl occasionally, most players are skilled in only one of the two disciplines and are considered specialists. Some wicket-keepers have the skills of a specialist batter and have been referred to as all-rounders, but the term ''wicket-keeper-batter'' is more commonly applied to them, even if they are substitute wicket keepers who also bowl. Moin-ud-Dowlah Gold Cup Tournament
The Moin-ud-Dowlah Gold Cup Tournament is an Indian cricket competition that has been held in Hyderabad (and sometimes nearby Secunderabad) since 1930-31. From 1930-31 to 1937-38, and from 1962-63 to 1973-74, it had first-class status. 1930-31 to 1937-38 In 1930 the Nawab Moin-Ud-Dowlah Bahadur Asman Jah donated a trophy to be played for each year by a team representing Hyderabad and various invitational teams. Many of the best Indian players played in the tournaments, and in the 1930s several overseas players also played.
