Emily Smith (cricketer)
Emily Jane Smith (born 9 January 1995) is an Australian cricketer who plays as a wicket-keeper. She has previously taken the field for Western Fury, Essex Eagles, Perth Scorchers, Hobart Hurricanes, Sydney Thunder and Tasmanian Tigers. Smith began her cricketing career in Victoria, Australia, after being introduced to the game by one of her friends. Neither of her parents was a cricket fan. After playing as a junior at Sunshine Cricket Club, she joined Victorian Premier Cricket team Essendon Maribyrnong Park, and during the 2012–13 season she was a member of the Victorian Spirit rookie squad. At the start of the 2013–14 season, Smith was signed by Tasmanian Roar. In 2014–15, she spent the majority of the season travelling south to play for the Roar. In 2015–16, she relocated to Tasmania for the full season, and during the Australian winters of 2015 and 2016, she played for Essex. Perth Scorchers (WBBL)
The Perth Scorchers (WBBL) are an Australian women's Twenty20 cricket team based in East Perth, Western Australia. They compete in the Women's Big Bash League, and won their first championship in WBBL07. History Formation One of eight founding WBBL teams, the Perth Scorchers are aligned with the men's team of the same name. On 9 May 2015, the WACA announced Mark Atkinson as the Scorchers' inaugural coach. At the official WBBL launch on 10 July, Jess Cameron was unveiled as the team's first-ever player signing. The Victoria Women cricket team, previously known as Victorian Spirit, is the women's representative cricket team for the Australian State of Victoria. They play their home games at Junction Oval, St Kilda, Melbourne. They compete in the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL), the premier 50-over women's cricket tournament in Australia. Hobart Hurricanes are an Australian professional men's Twenty20 franchise cricket team based in Hobart, Tasmania. They compete in Australia's domestic Big Bash League. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. Heather Louise Graham (born 5 October 1996) is an Australian cricketer who plays for Tasmania, Hobart Hurricanes, Northern Superchargers and Mumbai Indians. Domestic career In November 2018, she was named in the Perth Scorchers' squad for the 2018–19 Women's Big Bash League season.
