Emilio Ferrera
Emilio Ferrera (born 19 June 1967 in Schaerbeek) is a Belgian football manager and former player, who is currently managing the U21 squad of Gent. His last former club was OH Leuven in the Belgian First Division B. Before he also worked at Genk, where he was fired after coaching only one match, following a 1–3 season-opening defeat to KV Mechelen. Ferrera has managed a number of clubs across various countries and continents (mostly in Belgium, but also including Greece, Luxembourg, Saudi Arabia and a short stint in Mexico), having started his coaching career in his twenties. For example, he led Club América ''ad interim'' in the 1995 Mexican football season aged only 27 at the time. Personal life Emilio Ferrera was born in Schaerbeek, Belgium. Panionios G.S.S. Football Club (Greek: ΠΑΕ Πανιώνιος Γ.Σ.Σ.), the ''Pan-Ionian Gymnastics Club of Smyrna'' (Πανιώνιος Γυμναστικός Σύλλογος Σμύρνης, ''Panionios Gymnastikos Syllogos Smyrnis''), more commonly known as Panionios F.C. or simply Panionios, is a Greek amateur football club based in Nea Smyrni, Athens, Greece. Yannick Ferrera y Caro (born 24 September 1980) is a Belgian professional football manager and former player who is the current manager of Cypriot club Omonia. Club career In his early twenties, Ferrera enjoyed a brief career as a professional footballer, playing for Belgian sides Beveren, Tubize, Ternat and Jette. Managerial career In 2004, Ferrera was appointed head coach of the Anderlecht youth team, which at that time included Romelu Lukaku and Adnan Januzaj. Manu Ferrera (born 21 October 1958) is a Spanish-born football coach, best known for his career in Belgium. He works as a scout for Gent. Career As a player He started playing football at Crossing Schaerbeek, the team in which he made his debut in the 70s. The attacker left the Third Division team in the 1980/81 season to move to Second Division team Eendracht Aalst. Over there, he played in 1984 together with Tjapko Teuben. The Dutchman, who was on loan from Club Bruges, got an offer from the Japanese team Mazda SC. Ferrera followed him and went also to Hiroshima in 1985. Due to injuries he did not play much. In 1987, he finished his career as a player in the team of Liedkerke. As a trainer Ferrera, who got an education as a physiotherapist in the early 90s.
