Emilio Carelli
Emilio Carelli (born 21 May 1952) is an Italian journalist and politician, member of the Chamber of Deputies for the Five Star Movement, since 24 March 2018 until 2 February 2021. Early life Emilio Carelli was born in Crema, near Cremona in Lombardy, in 1952, from a middle-class family. After attending the classical lyceum, he graduated in literature in 1975 at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, and later became a professional journalist after completing his studies in the United States. Vice President of the Italy-USA Foundation since 2018. Journalistic career In 1980 Carelli was hired by Fininvest, the holding company of Silvio Berlusconi, as editor and journalist of Canale 5. In the same period he was editor of ''Notizienotte'' and worked in the editing of ''Canale 5 News'', which replaced ''Notizienotte''. In 1986 he moved to Rome as head of the local Fininvest office. Chamber Of Deputies (Italy)
The Chamber of Deputies ( it, Camera dei deputati) is the lower house of the bicameral Italian Parliament (the other being the Senate of the Republic). The two houses together form a perfect bicameral system, meaning they perform identical functions, but do so separately. The Chamber of Deputies has 400 seats, of which 392 will be elected from Italian constituencies, and 8 from Italian citizens living abroad. ''Studio Aperto'' (lit. ''Open Studio'') is the brand for Italian TV channel of Mediaset network Italia 1's news programmes. Founded by Emilio Fede on 16 January 1991 with the beginning of Gulf War, it's shown domestically on Italia 1. Centre-right Coalition (Italy)
The centre-right coalition ( it, coalizione di centro-destra) is an alliance of political parties in Italy, active—under several forms and names—since 1994, when Silvio Berlusconi entered politics and formed his Forza Italia party. Despite its name, the alliance mostly falls on the right-wing of the political spectrum. In the 1994 general election, under the leadership of Berlusconi, the centre-right ran with two coalitions, the Pole of Freedoms in northern Italy and Tuscany (mainly Forza Italia and the Northern League) and the Pole of Good Government (mainly Forza Italia and National Alliance) in central and southern Italy. 2018 Italian General Election
The 2018 Italian general election was held on 4 March 2018 after the Italian Parliament was dissolved by President Sergio Mattarella on 28 December 2017. Voters were electing the 630 members of the Chamber of Deputies and the 315 elective members of the Senate of the Republic for the 18th legislature of the Italian Republic since 1948. The election took place concurrently with the Lombard and Lazio regional elections. No party or coalition gained an absolute majority in the parliament, even though the centre-right coalition won a plurality of seats as a coalition, and the Five Star Movement (M5S) won a plurality of seats as an individual party. Luigi Di Maio (; born 6 July 1986) is an Italian former stadium beverage vendor and politician. He served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2019 to 2022, as Deputy Prime Minister of Italy and Minister of Economic Development, Labour and Social Policies from 2018 to 2019, and as Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies in the 17th Italian legislature. From September 2017 to January 2020, Di Maio was the leader of the Five Star Movement, an anti-establishment party founded by Beppe Grillo. He resigned from this position to quell discontent and stem the flow of party desertions and expulsions after he led the party into coalition with the centre-left Democratic Party. The 2008 United States presidential election was the 56th quadrennial presidential election, held on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Sky TG24 is Italy's second all-news channel, owned by Sky Italia. Launched on 31 July 2003, it provides non-stop rolling news, weather forecasts and sports stories with half-hourly updates.
