Emiliano Yacobitti
Emiliano Benjamín Yacobitti (born 15 December 1975) is an Argentine politician, currently serving as National Deputy elected in the City of Buenos Aires since 2019. He is a member of the Radical Civic Union (UCR), and served as the Buenos Aires City UCR Committee from 2013 to 2017. A public accountant, Yacobitti has an extensive career in academic politics in the University of Buenos Aires, and formerly served as Vice-Dean of the University of Buenos Aires Faculty of Economic Sciences. Since 2022, he has been Vice Rector of the University of Buenos Aires. Early life and career Yacobitti was born on 15 December 1975 in Lomas de Zamora, in the Greater Buenos Aires conurbation. He attended the prestigious Escuela Superior de Comercio Carlos Pellegrini, then going on to study public accountancy at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). The Chamber of Deputies ( es, Cámara de Diputados de la Nación), officially the Honorable Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation, is the lower house of the Argentine National Congress ( es, Congreso de la Nación). It is made up of 257 national deputies who are elected in multi-member constituencies corresponding with the territories of the 23 provinces of Argentina (plus the Federal Capital) by party list proportional representation. Elections to the Chamber are held every two years, so that half of its members are up in each election, making it a rare example of staggered elections used in a lower house. Elective Abortion in Argentina is legal in the first 14 weeks of gestation. The abortion law was liberalized after the Voluntary Interruption of Pregnancy Bill (Argentina) was passed by the National Congress in December 2020. According to the law, any woman can request the procedure at any public or private health facility. Doctors are legally bound to either perform it or, if they are conscientious objectors, refer the patient to another physician or health facility. Martín Lousteau (born 8 December 1970) is an Argentine economist and politician of the Radical Civic Union. He is National Senator for Buenos Aires. He was Minister of Economy under the administration of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, from December 2007 to April 2008. At the age of 37, he was the youngest person to occupy this office in more than five decades. Lousteau served as the Argentine Ambassador to the United States from 2015 to 2017.
