Emil P. Scheibe
Emil Paul Scheibe (September 1, 1861 – December 28, 1910) was an American politician and brewer. Born in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, Scheibe moved to the town of Centerville, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, Centerville, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin in 1867. Scheibe was a brewer. In 1889, Scheibe served in the Wisconsin State Assembly and was a Democratic Party (United States), Democrat. His post office box was: Hika, Wisconsin in Manitowoc County. Scheibe then moved to Marshfield, Wisconsin and was one of the founders of the Marshfield Brewing Company. Scheibe served on the Marshfield Common Council in 1895, 1898, and 1899. Manitowoc () is a city in and the county seat of Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, United States. The city is located on Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Manitowoc River. According to the 2020 census, Manitowoc had a population of 34,626, with over 50,000 residents in the surrounding communities. History Purported to mean ''dwelling of the great spirit'', Manitowoc derived its name from either the Ojibwe word ''manidoowaak(wag)'', meaning spirit-spawn(s), or ''manidoowaak(oog)'', meaning spirit-wood(s), or ''manidoowak(iin)'', meaning spirit-land(s). Centerville is a town in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 713 at the 2000 census. The town is divided by I-43 and surrounds the Village of Cleveland. Marshfield is a city in northwest Wood and southwest Marathon counties in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 10, Highway 13 and Highway 97.
