Emil Jørgensen
Emil Ludvig Peter Jørgensen (7 February 1882 in Gentofte – 23 March 1947 in Gentofte) was a Danish amateur football player and administrator. He played four games for the Denmark national football team, and won a silver medal at the 1912 Summer Olympics. Biography Jørgensen was an energetic and strong half back, with a knack for going on the offensive to shoot from the distance. He represented Danish clubs ØB and B 93. He made his Danish national team debut in October 1911. He was part of the Danish team, which won the silver medal in the football tournament of the 1912 Summer Olympics. He had trouble getting the days off at his everyday workplace in the Copenhagen tax office, so Jørgensen missed the first Danish game of the tournament. He played two matches in the tournament, and scored one goal as Denmark defeated the Netherlands 4-1 in the semi-final. Jørgensen and Denmark lost the final to Great Britain. Denmark National Football Team
The Denmark men's national football team ( da, Danmarks herre-fodboldlandshold or ''herrelandsholdet'') represents Denmark in men's international football competitions. It is controlled by the Danish Football Association (DBU), the governing body for the football clubs which are organised under DBU. Denmark's home stadium is Parken Stadium in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen; their head coach is Kasper Hjulmand. Denmark were the winners of the Football at the 1906 Intercalated Games and silver medalists at the 1908 and 1912 Olympics. Danish Football Championship
The Danish football champions are the winners of the highest league of football in Denmark. The title has been contested since 1913, in a varying form of competitions. Since 1991, the winners have been found through the Danish Superliga championship. The Danish football championship is governed by the Danish Football Association (DBU). The early Danish football championships were decided in a single game, and the competition was not nationwide until its structure was altered before the 1927–28 season. Until the 1950s, the winners' list included teams exclusively from the Copenhagen area. DBU Copenhagen ( da, DBU København) is the local governing body for association football and futsal in Copenhagen, Denmark. They are responsible for the governance and development of men's and women's football at all levels in the region. DBU Copenhagen is a member of the union of local football associations, DBU Bredde, under the Danish Football Association (DBU) and the National Olympic Committee and Sports Confederation of Denmark (DIF).
