Emil Filipčič
Emil Filipčič (born 8 April 1951) is a Slovene writer, playwright and actor. He is known for his novels, short stories and dramas and has also appeared as an actor in numerous theatre productions in Slovenia. Filipčič was born in Belgrade in 1951. He studied at the Academy for Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana and works as a freelance writer, actor, playwright and director. In 2011 he won the Prešeren Foundation Award for his novel ''Problemi'' (Problems). The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, commonly referred to as SFR Yugoslavia or simply as Yugoslavia, was a country in Central and Southeast Europe. The Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television ( sl, Akademija za gledališče, radio, film in televizijo or AGRFT) is an academy of the University of Ljubljana in Ljubljana, Slovenia. It is the only college and graduate school in Slovenia with a similar curriculum. It is composed of three colleges: the College for Theatre and Radio, the College for Film and Television, and College for Screen and Play Writing. Prešeren Award
The Prešeren Award ( sl, Prešernova nagrada), also called the Grand Prešeren Award ( sl, Velika Prešernova nagrada), is the highest decoration in the field of artistic and in the past also scientific creation in Slovenia. It is awarded each year by the Prešeren Fund () to two eminent Slovene artists, with the provision that their work was presented to the public at least two years ago. Branko Gradišnik (born 7 January 1951) is a Slovene writer and translator. He writes short stories and is a well-known columnist that writes for the newspaper ''Delo'' and other Slovene publications. In 2004 he was a candidate for mayor of Ljubljana. Branko Gradišnik was born in Ljubljana in 1951 and is the son of author and translator Janez Gradišnik. He received a bachelor's degree in art history and sociology from the University of Ljubljana and holds a master's degree in creative writing from Lancaster University.
