Emil Breh
Emil Breh was a footballer who played as a forward. Breh joined FC Basel in the summer of 1924. He played for the team in their 1924–25 season and during that season he played a total of 23 games scoring seven goals; 15 of these games were in the Swiss Serie A and the other eight were friendly games. All the goals were scored in the domestic league and Breh was the team's top goal scorer. Breh played his first league game for the club in the second game of the 1924–25 Serie A season on 28 September 1924 in the away game against Grenchen. He scored his first two league goals in the same game and Basel won by three goals to nil. Fussball Club Basel 1893, widely known as FC Basel, FCB, or just Basel, is a Swiss football club based in Basel, in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. 1924–25 FC Basel Season
The FC Basel 1924–25 season was their thirty second season since the club's foundation on 15 November 1893. The club's chairman was Karl Ibach in his third season as chairman in his second period as chairman. FC Basel played their home games in the Landhof in the district Wettstein in Kleinbasel. Overview Gustav Putzendopler was team captain this season and as captain he led the team trainings and was responsible for the line-ups. Basel played a total of 28 matches in their 1924–25 season. 16 of these were in the domestic league, and 12 were friendly matches. Of these 12 friendlies only two were played at home in the Landhof and 10 were away games, seven in Switzerland, one in Strasbourg and two in Zagreb. FC Grenchen
FC Grenchen is a Swiss football club, based in Grenchen. They currently play in the 2. Liga, and play their matches at the Brühl Stadium. History FC Grenchen was founded in 1906. In 1937 they gained promotion to the top league of Swiss football, Nationalliga A, in these inter-war years they came runners-up in this league three times, and runner up in the cup, but their biggest success came post-war coming second in the league one further time before winning the cup the following season in 1960. Landhof
The Landhof was a sports stadium in the district Basel-Wettstein in Kleinbasel, Basel. It was the former and first home stadium of FC Basel. It is mentioned for the first time in a chronicle in the second half of the 18th century as a ''nice summer house with beautiful property''. The best known owner of the manor was , a member of the Merian family. He was Mayor of Basel and Landammann of Switzerland (highest office at the time). In 1892 the granddaughter of Merian-Iselin sold the Landhof to a certain Katharina Ehrler-Wittich.
