Government Of Kerala
Government of Kerala is the subnational government of the Indian state of Kerala. The government is led by a chief minister, who selects all the other ministers. The chief minister and their most senior ministers belong to the supreme decision-making committee, known as the cabinet. Ministers of the Kerala Government are responsible to the Kerala Legislative Assembly; they make statements in the assembly and take questions from members of the assembly. The government is dependent on Kerala Legislative Assembly to make primary legislation. Legislative assembly elections are held every five years to elect a new assembly, unless there is a successful vote of no confidence in the government or a two-thirds vote for a snap election in the assembly, in which case an election may be held sooner. Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA) is a government agency under the government of the Indian state of Kerala headquartered in Thiruvananthapuram. It undertakes development of industrial estates to nurture industrialization in the state. Dr. G. C. Gopala Pillai, the former CMD of FACT, Ernakulam was at its helm for the first 12 years and was instrumental in the growth of KINFRA as an industrial facilitator in the state of Kerala. Technopark, Trivandrum
Technopark is a technology park in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. Established on 18 November 1990 by the Government of Kerala, under chief minister E K Nayanar, it is one the largest information technology (IT) park in India in terms of developed area. Technopark has of built-up area, and is home to over 400 companies, employing more than 56,000 professionals, and it is still expanding, adding another as part of Phase III expansion, and as Technocity—an integrated IT township near Pallippuram. The policy of economic liberalisation initiated by the government of India in 1991, and the rapid growth of the global software industry during the 1990s, substantially contributed to this growth. Digital Science Park, Thiruvananthapuram
The Digital Science Park at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala being constructed will be first digital science park in India. In the 2022−23 state budget, the Government of Kerala announced four science parks with an investment of Rs 1000 crore to utilize the achievements in the field of science and technology. The first park among those is being set up close to the Digital University of Kerala at Technopark Phase IV-Technocity. The foundation stone of the park was laid on 25 April 2023 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Vizhinjam International Deepwater Multipurpose Seaport, also known as the Vizhinjam Port is an under-construction port on the Arabian Sea coast at city of Trivandrum . Developed in three phases, the first phase is expected to get completed by September 2023. The initial date of completion was expected to be between December 2019 and August 2020.
