Emergence (2023)
The 2023 Emergence was the fourth annual Emergence professional wrestling event produced by Impact Wrestling. It took place on August 27, 2023, at the Rebel Entertainment Complex in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and aired on Impact Plus and YouTube. It was the fourth event under the Emergence chronology. Eleven matches were contested at the event, including two on the pre-show and one taped as a digital exclusive. In the main event, Trinity defeated Deonna Purrazzo to retain the Impact Knockouts World Championship. In other prominent matches, Lio Rush, Brian Myers, Bully Ray and Moose defeated Josh Alexander and Time Machine (Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley and Kushida), The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz) defeated Subculture ( Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster) to win the Impact World Tag Team Championship, Sanada defeated Jake Something; and Eric Young defeated Deaner in a No Disqualification match in the opening bout. Impact Wrestling (stylized as ''IMPACT! Wrestling''), is an American professional wrestling promotion based in Nashville, Tennessee. It is a subsidiary of Anthem Sports & Entertainment. Founded by Jeff and Jerry Jarrett in 2002, the promotion was initially known as NWA: Total Nonstop Action (''NWA-TNA'') and was associated with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), though not an official member. Brian Myers (born April 20, 1985) is an American professional wrestler. He is currently signed to Impact Wrestling, where he is a former Impact Digital Media Champion. He is best known for his tenures in WWE from 2006–2014 and 2016–2020 under the ring name Curt Hawkins. Myers signed with WWE in 2006 and was assigned to their developmental territories. In 2007, he was called up to the main roster and would eventually win the WWE Tag Team Championship with Zack Ryder as a part of La Familia. Mark Andrews (born 25 January 1992) is a Welsh professional wrestler and musician. He is most well known for his time in WWE where he performed on the NXT UK brand. Andrews was one of the first Welsh Champions in WWE history alongside tag team partner Flash Morgan Webster. He is also known for his time in impact Wrestling (TNA) under the ring name Mandrews. He is also the bassist and co-lead vocalist of the band Junior. Subculture (sometimes stylized in all caps) is a Welsh professional wrestling stable consisting of Mark Andrews, Flash Morgan Webster and Dani Luna, which competes for Impact Wrestling in the United States, and various promotions in the United Kingdom such as One Pro Wrestling (1PW) and Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro). In RevPro, Andrews and Webster are the current Undisputed British Tag Team Champions in their first reign and Luna is the reigning British Women's Champion in her first reign. Luna is the reigning All Wales Champion in her first reign in New Wave Wrestling. Andrews and Webster started teaming together in 2018 for WWE's NXT UK brand. Zachary Wentz
Zachary Green (born April 29, 1994) is an American professional wrestler. He is best known for his time in WWE, where he performed on the NXT brand under the ring name Nash Carter and in Impact Wrestling under the ring name Zachary Wentz (or simply Wentz). He is well known as a member of The Rascalz with Dezmond Xavier and Trey Miguel. He also performed on independent promotions, mostly notably for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG). MSK (professional Wrestling)
MSK or The Rascalz were an American professional wrestling stable and later, tag team. It was formed by Dezmond Xavier, Trey Miguel, Zachary Wentz and Myron Reed. They began teaming with each other for the first time on the independent circuit in 2015 and competed in various independent promotions. They soon joined a stable called Scarlet and Graves, which primarily competed in Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) as well as other independent promotions. In 2018, the stable ended as Xavier and Wentz went on to form a new tag team called The Rascalz. They were soon joined by Myron Reed and Trey Miguel, but Reed soon left the group and the remaining three continued on as a trio, making their debut in Impact Wrestling shortly after. Joshua Harter (born February 4, 1982), better known by his ring name Chris Sabin, is an American professional wrestler. He is currently signed to Impact Wrestling, and is also known for his work in Ring of Honor. After being trained by Scott D'Amore, Sabin debuted in 2000 for Border City Wrestling (BCW), and quickly began competing for numerous other independent promotions.
