Emerance Maschmeyer
Emerance Maschmeyer (born October 5, 1994) is a Canadian ice hockey goaltender for Team Bauer, playing from the Montréal hub of the PWHPA. She is a member of Canada women's national ice hockey team (Team Canada), with whom she won the 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship and the 2022 Winter Olympics gold medal. She first made her debut with Team Canada at the 2014 4 Nations Cup. Playing career Maschmeyer was the second female goalie to compete in the Brick Tournament in Edmonton. A meeting was set up at the tournament for her to meet Shannon Szabados, and since then, the two have stayed in contact. She played against her brother Brock, who played for the Fort McMurray Oil Barons, and stopped him in a shoot-out. Maschmeyer played two exhibition games during the 2010–11 season with the Lloydminster Bobcats of the AJHL. Bruderheim is a town in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region of Alberta, Canada. It is located just north of the junction of Highway 15 and Highway 45, approximately northeast of Edmonton. IIHF World Women's U18 Championships
The IIHF Women's World U18 Championship, officially the IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women's World Championship, is an annual ice hockey tournament for national women's under-18 (U18) ice hockey teams, administrated by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). It is the junior edition of the IIHF Women's World Championship and participation is limited to female ice hockey players under 18 years of age. 3rd Canadian Women's Hockey League All-Star Game
The 3rd Canadian Women's Hockey League All-Star Game took place on February 12, 2017, at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. 2016 CWHL Draft
The 2016 draft for the Canadian Women's Hockey League took place on August 21, 2016. Players must register before midnight on August 1, 2016 and pay an entry fee of CDN $150. By virtue of finishing with the worst record during the 2015-16 CWHL regular season, the Boston Blades selected first overall. Boston Pride
The Boston Pride are a professional women's ice hockey team based in Boston, Massachusetts. They are one of the four charter franchises of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF), formerly the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL; 2015–2021). Shannon Szabados
Shannon Lynn Szabados (; born August 6, 1986) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender for the PWHPA and the Canada women's national ice hockey team. Szabados had played for the MacEwan University Griffins and the NAIT Ooks men's hockey teams of the Alberta Colleges Athletics Conference from 2007 until 2013. Szabados has been the first female player at several different tournaments and in several leagues, including minor, junior, and professional hockey. While playing junior hockey, Szabados became the first female to appear in the Western Hockey League (WHL) where she played exhibition games for the Tri-City Americans. Szabados was also the first female to play in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL), and recorded a shutout in her first game.
