''Embedded'' is a 2016 erotic political thriller film written and directed by Stephen Sewell (writer), Stephen Sewell and produced by Steve Jaggi, which sees a war correspondent meet an alluring, enigmatic woman at a cocktail party, before a dangerous power play engulfs the two. The film stars Nick Barkla, Laura Gordon, Ryan Harrison, Marcus Johnson and Peter Phelps. The film premiered at the Sydney Film Festival to generally positive reviews, with Variety (magazine), Variety calling it a "diamond like work", while The Iris called ''Embedded'' "a compelling watch." Peter Phelps
Peter Phelps (born 20 September 1960 in Sydney) is an Australian actor, singer and writer. He is notable for his role as Trevor Cole in ''Baywatch''. Phelps is also known for his roles in the internationally successful Australian series '' Sons and Daughters'' and '' Stingers'' and has appeared in feature films including ''Blackwater Trail'' with Judd Nelson. He is the brother of Professor Kerryn Phelps. Stephen John Sewell (born 13 March 1953) is an Australian playwright and screenwriter. Biography Born in Liverpool, New South Wales, Sewell's first theatre experience was in the 1970s in the fringe theatre while he was studying Science at the University of Sydney, where his first play was staged in 1975. In an interview in 2006 Sewell describes himself as an "angry writer" and a workaholic. Fascinated by the social world, his work ranges across many fields of study, from economics and politics to philosophy and psychology, and while he is considered a writer obsessed with dark themes, he is not himself a pessimist, saying, "No artist, no creator, ever sets forth without hope, even if the thing they create appears to be carved out of pitch black despair."
