Abuja () is the capital and eighth most populous city of Nigeria. Situated at the centre of the country within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), it is a planned city built mainly in the 1980s based on a master plan by International Planning Associates (IPA), a consortium of three American planning and architecture firms made up of Wallace, Roberts, McHarg & Todd (WRMT – a group of architects) as the lead, Archisystems International (a subsidiary of the Howard Hughes Corporation), and Planning Research Corporation. A military attaché is a military expert who is attached to a diplomatic mission, often an embassy. This type of attaché post is normally filled by a high-ranking military officer, who retains a commission while serving with an embassy. Birgitt Ory
Birgitt Ory (born 1964) is a German diplomat. From 2019 till 2022 she has served as the German Ambassador to Nigeria. Ory was the first woman to serve as Director General of the German Institute Taipei in Taiwan, a post she held from 2008 to 2011. Early life and education Ory was born in Lübeck in 1964. She graduated from high school in Neustadt in Holstein in 1983 and went on to study political science, communications, and German literature at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, where she graduated summa cum laude.
