Emanuel Ayvas
Emanuel Ayvas (born June 19, 1983) is an American musician best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of symphonic rock band Emanuel and the Fear. Emanuel currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. Early life Born in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey, Emanuel began playing the piano when he was five-years-old. After graduating high school, he initially attended college at Rutgers University before transferring to the University of North Carolina where he competed as a pole vaulter prior to shifting his focus to music. Career Early work Emanuel graduated from UNC in 2005 and formed his first band, Motion Commotion. After playing for less than a year, the band scored a deal with indie label Piermont Records and released their first self-titled EP in October 2006. Sergei Vasilyevich Rachmaninoff; in Russian pre-revolutionary script. (28 March 1943) was a Russian composer, virtuoso pianist, and conductor. Rachmaninoff is widely considered one of the finest pianists of his day and, as a composer, one of the last great representatives of Romanticism in Russian classical music. Beirut (band)
Beirut is an American band that was originally the solo musical project of Zach Condon. Beirut's music combines elements of indie rock and world music. The band's first performance with the full brass section was in New York, in May 2006, in support of their debut album ''Gulag Orkestar'', but performed their first show with Condon, Petree, and Collins at the College of Santa Fe earlier that year. Condon named the band after Lebanon's capital, because of the city's history of conflict and as a place where cultures collide. Wilco is an American alternative rock band based in Chicago, Illinois. The band was formed in 1994 by the remaining members of alternative country group Uncle Tupelo following singer Jay Farrar's departure. Joanna Newsom (born January 18, 1982) is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Born and raised in Northern California, Newsom was classically trained on the harp in her youth and began her musical career as a keyboardist in the San Francisco-based indie band the Pleased. ''Fearless Music'' was a televised musical showcase broadcast between 2004 and 2010 which featured live performances from up-and-coming acts, primarily from the alternative rock and indie rock circuits. It was filmed at the Crash Mansion rock club in New York City. The show aired at 12:30am on Saturdays on WNYW Fox 5 and was syndicated in over 200 cities in the United States, 350 college TV stations, and worldwide through Voice of America.
