Emanual Davis (born August 27, 1968) is a retired American professional basketball player. As a 6'4" (1.96 m) point guard, Davis played college basketball at Delaware State University in Dover, Delaware. Davis was never drafted by a National Basketball Association team, and played in the Continental Basketball Association, Italian Basketball League, United States Basketball League and the Atlantic Basketball Association in a span of 5 years before making it into the NBA. Davis played in 6 NBA seasons from 1996 to 1998 and 1999–2003. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Points in basketball are used to keep track of the score in a game. Points can be accumulated by making field goals (two or three points) or free throws (one point). If a player makes a field goal from within the three-point line, the player scores two points. If the player makes a field goal from beyond the three-point line, the player scores three points.
