''Augenerilepidonotus dictyolepis'' is a species of marine annelids in the family Polynoidae (scale worms) and the sole member of the genus ''Augenerilepidonotus''. It is known from Australia, usually from depths of about 40 metres or less. Description Body dorsoventrally flattened, short, with 26 segments and 12 pairs of elytron (Annelida), elytra on segments 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, and 2. Prostomium with three Antenna (biology), antennae; lateral antennae continuous with prostomium, laterally to median antenna. elytron (Annelida), elytra covered with chitinous irregular polygonal areas. Chaeta, Notochaetae slender and densely serrated. Chaeta, Neurochaetae much more stout, with few rows of spines distally and exclusively unidentate tips (see Pettibone, 1995 for detailed diagnosis) . ''Eunoe leiotentaculata'' is a Polynoidae, scale worm known from southern Australia and New Zealand and the South Pacific Ocean at depths of 500-1200 m. Species recognition Within the geographic range of ''Eunoe leiotentaculata'', at least 100 other species of Polynoidae also occur, but only about 3 other species share these features: 41-55 segments, a pair of distinct “peaks” on the prostomium, 15 pairs of elytron (Annelida), elytra which have smooth margins lacking papillae, and all the ventral chaetae taper to a simple point. The taxonomic description below, and original sources, will be required to distinguish ''Eunoe leiotentaculata'' from the most similar species.
