Elvis Sinosic
Elvis Sinosic (born 13 February 1971) is a retired Australian professional mixed martial artist and unsuccessful Political Candidate for United Australia in Blaxland. Sinosic is perhaps best known for his seven-fight stint in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he ultimately accumulated a 1-6 record, and fought for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. Sinosic also competed in the Cage Rage Championships, K-1, and Pancrase. Biography Sinosic was born in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, to Croatian immigrant parents, and now resides in Sydney, New South Wales. He currently runs Sinosic Perosh Martial Arts SPMA with business and training partner Anthony Perosh. ''UFC 32: Showdown in the Meadowlands'' was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship at the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey on June 29, 2001. History The card was headlined by the first Light Heavyweight Championship Bout (previously called "Middleweight") between Tito Ortiz and Elvis Sinosic. The event also featured the first appearance of future Heavyweight Champion Ricco Rodriguez. UFC 32 marked the last appearances of long time commentator Jeff Blatnick, who had been with the UFC since UFC 4 as well as Frank Shamrock, who had been commentating for the UFC as well after retiring his promotional Light Heavyweight championship. Jeremy Horn
Jeremy Graham Horn (born August 25, 1975) is an American mixed martial artist. Horn is best known for fighting in smaller American promotions, he has also competed in some of the premiere mixed martial arts organizations around the world, including the UFC, WEC, PRIDE, Bellator, Pancrase, the IFL, King of the Cage, and the International Fighting Championships (IFC). ''K-1 World Grand Prix 2000 Final'' was a kickboxing event promoted by the K-1 organization. It was the eighth K-1 Grand Prix final, involving eight of the world's top fighters, with all bouts fought under K-1 Rules (100 kg/156-220 lbs). The eight finalists were a mixture of invitees, some of whom had been at the previous year's final, or had qualified via preliminary tournaments (for more detail on this see bulleted list below). Shootfighting
Shootfighting is a martial art and combat sport, with competitions governed by the International Shootfighting Association (ISFA). It incorporates techniques from a multitude of traditional martial arts, the most principal of these being wrestling and kenpo. Shootfighting was previously used synonymously with mixed martial arts competitions in Japan, as opposed to shoot-style professional wrestling competitions. The term has been retired from common usage because it became a registered trademark of Bart Vale, who uses it to describe his hybrid fighting system derived from shoot wrestling.
