Elvis Peña
Elvis Mendez Peña (born August 15, 1974 (originally thought to be September 15, 1976) in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic) is a former Major League Baseball second baseman who played for two seasons. He played for the Colorado Rockies in 2000 and the Milwaukee Brewers in 2001. Originally signed by the Colorado Rockies in 1993, Peña made his professional debut with the AZL Rockies in 1994. He split the 1995 season with the Asheville Tourists and Portland Rockies before being promoted to the Salem Avalanche, where he spent the 1996 and 1997 seasons. He returned to Asheville for the 1998 season, where he had a .287 batting average in 115 games. In 1999, Peña played for the Carolina Mudcats, and had a .301 batting average in 110 games. In baseball, a stolen base occurs when a runner advances to a base to which they are not entitled and the official scorer rules that the advance should be credited to the action of the runner. Italian Baseball League
The Italian Baseball League (IBL; Italian: ') is a professional baseball league that is governed by FIBS (Italian Baseball & Softball Federation), which has its headquarters in Rome. The IBL is a wood bat league in which both composite and aluminum bats are prohibited; the official ball of the IBL is the ''Wilson 1010 Italy''. Until 2010, the IBL featured a league format that demoted the last place finisher to the minor leagues (Series A2), while the Series A2 champion would be promoted into the IBL. The Huntsville Stars were a Minor League Baseball team that played in Huntsville, Alabama, from 1985 to 2014. Juan Carlos Acevedo (born May 5, 1970) is a Mexican former professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for eight teams, over eight seasons. He pitched in the Mexican League after his MLB retirement. Biography Acevedo attended Dundee-Crown High School in Carpentersville, Illinois, where as a senior he had an 8–0 record in baseball. Kane Thomas Davis (born June 25, 1975) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He pitched for the Cleveland Indians, Colorado Rockies, New York Mets, Milwaukee Brewers, and Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball (MLB), as well as the Kia Tigers of the KBO League. Mark Edward Leiter (born April 13, 1963) is an American former right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball who had an 11-year career from to and in . Leiter grew up in Toms River, New Jersey.
