Elsie Kelly
Elsie Kelly (born 7 June 1936) is an English actress. She is best known for portraying the role of Noreen Maltby in the ITV hit sitcom '' Benidorm'' (2007–2012, 2015–2018). Career Kelly appeared in the popular television soap opera ''Crossroads'' in 1986 in a regular role as cleaner and gossip Mrs Tardebigge, a role which lasted until the series demise in 1988. After a lengthy gap from television work she appeared in the film '' Intimate Relations'' in 1996 and then returned to television to play Joan, the cook in the 1995–1997 television adaptation of ''The Famous Five'' for a number of episodes. This was followed by the part of Mrs Humphries in ''The Ghost Hunter'' in 2000 and Florrie in ''Harry and the Wrinklies ''Harry and the Wrinklies'' is a children's novel written by British author Alan Temperley. ''Crossroads'' (later known as ''Crossroads Motel'' and ''Crossroads King's Oak'') is a British television soap opera that ran on ITV over two periods – the original 1964 to 1988 run, followed by a short revival from 2001 to 2003. Set in a fictional motel (hotel in the revival) in the Midlands, ''Crossroads'' became a byword for cheap production values, particularly in the 1970s and early 1980s. Despite this, the series regularly attracted huge audiences during this time, with ratings as high as 15 million viewers. ''The Ghost Hunter'' is a British children's drama series created for the BBC and based on the books '' The Ghost Hunter'' by Ivan Jones. It was first broadcast in January 2000 and the last series was first broadcast in 2002. Repeats continue to be shown on BBC and CBBC as well as in other countries. The first and second series were later reworked into two ninety-minute films. School location scenes from each of the three series were filmed at St. Laurence School in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire. ''Intimate Relations'' is a 1996 Canadian-British film, the first movie by writer and director Philip Goodhew. It stars Rupert Graves, Julie Walters and a fifteen-year-old Laura Sadler, the only feature film in her short career.
