Else Hagen (21 September 1914 – 17 August 2010) was a Norwegian visual artist. She was born in Eydehavn, and was married to Arne E. Holm. She is known for her large decorations in public areas. Eydehavn
Eydehavn or Eydehamn is a village in the municipality of Arendal in Agder county, Norway. The village is located about northeast of the centre of the Arendal (town), town of Arendal, about northeast of the village of Saltrød, about south of the village of Strengereid, and just across the Tromøysundet strait from Kongshamn on the island of Tromøy (island), Tromøy. The village is named after Sam Eyde, the Norwegian engineer and Business magnate, industrialist. The local sports team is called IL Sørfjell and have teen teams in a variety of sports. Eydehavn has about 1,100 residents as of 2015. History Eydehavn grew up around a smelting factory and an aluminium factory starting around 1912. The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. Tromsø Airport
Tromsø Airport ( no, Tromsø lufthavn; ) is an international airport located at Langnes in the Tromsø (city), city of Tromsø in Tromsø Municipality, Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. Situated on the western shore of the island of Tromsøya, it features a runway aligned 01/19. Owned and operated by the state-owned Avinor, Langnes handled 1,910,692 passengers, 43,219 aircraft movements and 2,758 tonnes of cargo in 2014. This makes Tromsø the fifth-busiest airport in the country. The airport opened on 14 September 1964, replacing Tromsø Airport, Skattøra, a water aerodrome. Postgirobygget (building)
Posthuset (known until 2000 as Postgirobygget) is a commercial building located at Biskop Gunnerus' gate 14 in the city center of Oslo, Norway. The building was designed by Norwegian architect Rolf Christian Krognes and first constructed in 1975. It has 26 floors and at 111 meter in height, is the second tallest building in Oslo. In 2003, the building was thoroughly revamped: seven floors were added and the building was split in two towers. After the revamp, '' Aftenposten'' newspaper moved into the building. Posthuset is the property of the Norwegian state-owned real estate company, Entra Eiendom, Entra Eiendom AS. Knut Helle
Knut Helle (19 December 1930 – 27 June 2015) was a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Bergen from 1973 to 2000, he specialized in the late medieval history of Norway. He has contributed to several large works. Early life, education and marriage He was born in Larvik as the son of school inspector Hermann Olai Helle (1893–1973) and teacher Berta Marie Malm (1906–1991). He was the older brother of politician Ingvar Lars Helle. The family moved to Hetland when Knut Helle was seventeen years old. He took the examen artium in Stavanger in 1949, and a teacher's education in Kristiansand in 1952. He studied philology in Oslo and Bergen, and graduated with the cand.philol. degree in 1957.
