Elpida Karamandi
Elpida Karamandi ( rup, Elpida Caramandi, ) was an Aromanian Yugoslav partisian and resistance fighter. She born on 1 January 1920, in Florina, Greece, in an Aromanian family. Her mother was divorced from her husband and moved to her relatives in Bitola, then in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, where she remarried. Karamandi grew up and was educated in Bitola and later continued her studies in Belgrade, where she became a member of SKOJ in 1939. When the Second World War began, Karamandi came back to Bitola. Elpida (singer)
Elpida Karayiannopoulou ( el, Ελπίδα Καραγιαννοπούλου, born October 1, 1950), is a Greek singer who was one of the most successful singers in Greece and the Greek diaspora in the 1970s and 1980s. Known professionally as just Elpida, she released 17 original albums in her 25-year recording history, and regularly topped fever charts run by the Greek state broadcaster, Ellinikí Radiofonía Tileórasi (ERT). Internationally, she was known for being a two-time entrant to the Eurovision Song Contest, representing Greece in 1979 with the song "Sokrati" which placed 8th and Cyprus in 1986 with "Tora Zo" which came 20th (and last). Elpida Romantzi
Elpida Romantzi (born July 17, 1981 in Thessalonica) is an archer from Greece. She placed 34th in the women's individual ranking round with a 72-arrow score of 624 at the 2004 Summer Olympics. In the first round of elimination, she faced 11th-ranked Bérengère Schuh of France. Romantzi defeated Schuh, winning 151-143 in the 18-arrow match to advance to the round of 32. In that round, she faced Lee Sung Jin of Korea, losing to the 2nd-ranked and eventual silver medalist archer 166-146. Romantzi finished 31st in women's individual archery. Romantzi was also a member of the 5th-place Greek team in the women's team archery competition. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing Romantzi finished her ranking round with a total of 614 points. Elpida Tsouri ( el, Ελπίδα Τσουρή, born 1961 in Chios, Greece), is a Member of Parliament in Greece for the majority party, the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK). Career She studied at the Legal Faculty of the University of Thrace. For a number of years she served as a civil law notary. She was Chairman and Director of the Chios newspaper and radio Democratic. Political career Elpida Tsouri was elected prefectoral advisor of Chios in 1994. She was re-elected prefectoral advisor in 1998. Elpida Hadjidaki or Chatzidaki ( el, Ελπίδα Χατζηδάκη) is a Greek marine archaeologist specializing in ancient shipwrecks and harbor towns. She grew up in coastal Chania and was interested in maritime history from an early age. Hadjidaki learned to dive shortly after finishing high school. She has investigated multiple archaeological sites, including the Peristera shipwreck, a Minoan shipwreck near Pseira, and the ancient harbor town of Phalasarna. She was friends with Honor Frost, a now deceased diver and underwater archaeologist. Micron Memory Japan, K.K. is a Japanese subsidiary of Micron Technology. It was formerly known as established in 1999 that developed, designed, manufactured and sold dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) products. It was also a semiconductor foundry. With headquarters in Yaesu, Chūō, Tokyo, Japan, it was initially formed under the name NEC Hitachi Memory in 1999 by the merger of the Hitachi and NEC DRAM businesses. Elsulfavirine
Elsulfavirine (trade name Elpida; also known as VM 1500) is drug used to treat HIV infection. It is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI). Elsulfavirine is a prodrug which is metabolized to the active antiviral agent deselsulfavirine (also known as VM 1500A). It was developed by the Russian company Viriom. In June 2017, elsulfavirine was approved for use in Russia as an oral formulation for the treatment of HIV-1 infections in combination with other antiretroviral drugs. Currently, elsulfavirine is used in antiretroviral therapy regimens in the Russian Federation, which includes the combination elsulfavirine + lamivudine (or emtricitabine) + tenofovir.
