Elmhurst, Victoria
Elmhurst is a town in the Pyrenees (Victoria), Pyrenees region of western Victoria (Australia), Victoria, Australia. The town is on the Pyrenees Highway between Eversley and Amphitheatre, Victoria, Amphitheatre. Elmhurst is in the Rural City of Ararat local government area, north-west of the state capital, Melbourne. The headwaters of the Wimmera River form near Elmhurst. At the 2021 Australian census, 2021 census, Elmhurst had a population of 185. Mount Cole and the Mount Buangor State Park are located south of Elmhurst. The general store is now closed. Elmhurst has a small post office that is open limited hours Monday-Friday (9am - 1pm). The Elmhurst Recreation Reserve (on Green st) has public toilets, a picnic area and a playground. Elmhurst High School was a public high school with a comprehensive intake and over 1,000 students. Elmhurst High School was a part of the Fort Wayne Community Schools school district, serving those living in the Waynedale area of Fort Wayne. It received accreditation from the Indiana Department of Education and the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. Closing Elmhurst High School On March 22, 2010, a vote was taken by the FWCS School Board to accept a recommendation of the FWCS administration regarding ways to reduce the 2010 district budget by $15 million. The administration's report included the step of closing Elmhurst High School. The budget moves were required because current economic conditions reduced federal and state funds available to the school district. Elmhurst School For Boys
Elmhurst School is a private day preparatory and pre-preparatory school for boys aged three to eleven (to be co-educational from 2024) located in South Croydon, England. It is the successor to two schools both founded in 1869. History The school has its origins in two educational establishments dating from 1869. In that year Allen Carr and his wife opened a school for young boys in Croydon. He died in 1875 and his widow, Elizabeth, continued the school. In 1885 she bought an empty property called "Elmhurst" in St Peter's Road, South Croydon, and moved the school there. The other 1869 foundation was opened by Clarissa Prince at her father's house, "The Chalet", Croydon. She was assisted by her sister Florence and others. Elmhurst is an unincorporated community in Langlade County, Wisconsin, United States. It is in the town of Rolling at latitude 45°3'30" North, longitude 89°11'3" West. Elmhurst, also known as The Caldwell Place, is a historic inn and tavern located at Caldwell, Greenbrier County, West Virginia. It was built in 1824 on the banks of the Greenbrier River near where a toll bridge for the James River and Kanawha Turnpike replaced a ferry crossing in 1821. It is a two-story red brick building, consisting of a 50 feet wide by 50 feet deep main section and 50 feet by 25 feet ell. It features a two-story open portico supported by four square columns and capped by an ornamental stepped gable. The listing also includes three contributing frame dependencies, a gravel approach driveway, an early 20th-century stone wall, and a portion of the original road bed of the James River and Kanawha Turnpike.
