Elmer Batters
Elmer Albert Batters (November 24, 1919 – June 25, 1997) was a pioneer fetish photographer who specialized in capturing artful images of women with an emphasis on stockings, legs, and feet, placing him ahead of his time in popularizing foot fetishism imagery as erotic entertainment. Early life Batters was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He enlisted in the United States Navy on December 27, 1941 from Los Angeles, California. He served on the USS Sperry (AS-12) from May 1942 until September 1942 and the USS Silversides (SS-236) from September 1942 to April 1943. He also served on the USS Sunfish (SS-281) from April 1943 until April 1944, and became a Yeoman 1st Class. Career Batters started out publishing his photographs himself. USS Sunfish (SS-281)
The first USS ''Sunfish'' (SS-281), a ''Gato''-class submarine, was the first ship of the United States Navy to be named for the ocean sunfish, ''Mola mola'', a plectognath marine fish, having a deep body truncated behind, and high dorsal and anal fins. XF5F Skyrocket
The Grumman XF5F Skyrocket was a prototype twin-engined shipboard fighter interceptor. The United States Navy ordered one prototype, model number G-34, from Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation on 30 June 1938; its designation was XF5F-1. The aircraft had a unique appearance: The forward "nose" of the fuselage did not extend forward of the wing. Provisions were included for two 20 mm (0.906 in) Madsen cannon as armament. William Barton Bridgeman (June 25, 1916 – September 29, 1968) was an American test pilot who broke aviation records while working for the Douglas Aircraft Company, testing experimental aircraft.
