Elliott Fry
Elliott Goering Fry (born December 12, 1994) is an American football placekicker who is a free agent. He has played for the Baltimore Ravens, Chicago Bears, Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, and the Alliance of American Football's Orlando Apollos. Early life and high school Fry attended Prince of Peace Christian School in Carrollton, Texas. While Elliott Fry was playing hockey at the age of seven, he lost consciousness on the ice due to extremely high blood glucose levels. Fry was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Fry was an avid soccer and football player in high school. He was the kicker and punter, but also played a little bit of offense due to his speed. Placekicker, or simply kicker (PK or K), is the player in gridiron football who is responsible for the kicking duties of field goals and extra points. In many cases, the placekicker also serves as the team's kickoff specialist or punter. Specialized role The kicker initially was not a specialized role. Prior to the 1934 standardization of the prolate spheroid shape of the ball, drop kicking was the prevalent method of kicking field goals and conversions, but even after its replacement by place kicking, until the 1960s the kicker almost always doubled at another position on the roster. 2020 XFL Draft
The 2020 XFL Draft was the inaugural player selection process to fill the rosters of the eight teams of the 2020 reboot of the XFL. The draft was held on October 15–16, 2019, via conference call, with results released through the XFL's social media channels. Structure The XFL player allocation process was held in multiple phases, separated by position groups.
