David Elleray
David Roland Elleray, (born 3 September 1954), is an English former football referee who officiated in the Football League, Premier League and for FIFA. As of September 2021 he held the position of Technical Director at the IFAB. During his career as a prominent referee, Elleray officiated for a number of notable matches, including the FA Cup Final, the highest domestic honour for an English referee. Due to his Oxbridge background and "day job" as a teacher at a public school, Elleray has been described as "schoolmasterly" and "posh" by the press. His teaching role entailed time conflicts with his role as a leading referee before his retirement. He has periodically advised football boards. Peter Elleray
Peter Elleray (born 30 June 1958) is an English engineer and race car designer particularly known for designing the Bentley Speed 8 race car. Elleray, who worked for Racing Technologies Norfolk (RTN), also designed the Audi R8C and the British Radical SR9. On 14 September 2007, his involvement was announced in the design of the WF01-Zytek for Embassy Racing, which had a best finish of 4th in its LMP2 category at the 1000 km of Nürburgring during the 2008 Le Mans Series season. Biography Elleray attended Hutton Grammar School before earning a Bachelor of Science degree in applied mathematics from Durham University in 1979. After spending several years in the aerospace field, Elleray took a job with Tyrrell Racing in 1982 analyzing ground effect tunnels. John Elleray
John Bernard Elleray (born 13 May 1946) is a former English cricketer. Lupton was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium-fast. He was born in Windermere, Westmorland. Elleray made his debut for Cumberland in the 1979 Minor Counties Championship against Durham. Elleray played Minor counties cricket for Cumberland from 1979 to 1986, including eleven Minor Counties Championship matches and two MCCA Knockout Trophy matches. In 1985, he made his List A debut against Derbyshire in the NatWest Trophy. The following season he played his second and final List A match for Cumberland against Lancashire in the 1986 NatWest Trophy.
